Our Gala was a great success!
We are almost to our goal of
$30,000.00, which will allow
us to afford to provide much
needed medical care to our
neighbors. 185 folks attended,
making this our best gala yet.
As we push into 2020, we are
thankful for our dedicated
volunteers who work tirelessly
serving at the Ashland Christian
Health Center in many
capacities, all with the intention
of caring for our community.
We strive to be good stewards
of what is given to ACHC; we
seek to quantify the value of a
visit. This is a question that I
have been asking our board
members, our staff, and others
at the Health Center.
ACHC opened our doors in
2003, at that time, $20 was the
suggested donation we would
ask our patients to donate
toward a visit. And, most of our
patients do donate toward their
clinic visit.
2019 proved to be a busy year.
The totals are in -- equaling 781
patient clinic visits, 311 PMAP
applications completed, 54
appointments with our
Respiratory therapist, 8 people
beginning their journey in our
new chronic pain support
group, an average of 15 per
year having skin biopsies done
here, and about 20 folks
attending Diabetes support
groups each month. Those are
all valuable visits.
We shared over 300 pieces of
durable medical equipment-
walkers, shower chairs and
more. We share the love of the
gospel with those who enter
our doors; we pray for our clinic
patients each time. We follow
up with our patients, securing
hope in their journey.
We provide value to their lives,
to their health, and in their
hope.
As we look at the value of a visit, we consider so much. That’s where each of you come in. Your support allows us to increase the value we share with each patient. When you consider your support for 2020,
please consider the value of a patient visit at $75, knowing we only ask our patients to donate a portion toward their visit. Often times the ask is too much for them to afford, but your generosity fills the gap; and we dispense hope to those that come to our clinic. Your donation can be made on at www.ashlandchristianhealth center.org , or you can send a check to 380 E. 4th Street, Ashland, OH 44805.

Christmas Gifts - at ACHC
we are grateful beneficiaries
of the talents of a GRACE
Church ladies’ group, Quilting
101, who work on projects in
their homes and gather to
sew and quilt. Sharing their
gifts and talents, they spread
joy, warmth, and the love of
Jesus. Christmas pillowcases
and fabric bags were made
to share with many of our
patients during December.
Thanks, Quilting 101, for
sharing with us!

I would like to thank the host of individuals we can count on to support our mission at ACHC. So many give of themselves in various aspects which are equally important. Thank you board members, volunteers providers, nurses, receptionists, hostess, daytime assistants, cleaning crews, lawn care teams, fundraising/events committees, financial advisors, and so many more! Recently ACHC was able to help friends on medical missions to various countries like the Dominican Republic. ACHC helped provide extra inventory supplies and prayer. Here is a message of thanks from Rachel Hartley, RN.
I want to say a big thank you to ACHC for helping provide medical supplies for
my medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic with Medical Ministry
International, January 4-12, 2020. The group I’ll be working with down there is
two-sided. Part of our team will provide a walk-in clinic for people in rural
impoverished areas with little to no access to healthcare, while the other part
of our team performs surgeries in the local hospital for those same people.
Through our work, we also have the opportunity to provide basic health education
to the community, as well as the privilege to share the Gospel with them too!
In 2015 was the first time I went with MMI to the Dominican Republic, and while
we were there, the 17 year old atheist son of one of the doctors in our group
accepted Christ as his Savior by the end of the week. I’m excited to see what
God has in store for the people down there. I thank you for your prayers for the
Dominican people and that God softens their hearts, and that were God’s hands
and feet, impacting lives for Him. Thanks again for your clinic locally and helping out with supplies for my trip.
You have a great organization going there that touches many lives!
I was invigorated by these experiences that Rachel shares. This is only the tip of the iceberg. There are many places that need the same medical missions. Places all over the globe and our nation. Places like The city of Ashland, Ohio - Ashland county. Places like the corner of 4th and Miller Streets. We value your time, talent, prayer, treasures. Some of you have medical or business skills, time. Some of you have financial support; some of you have the skill of patience, or prayer or Love; some of you have the gift of recognizing the long suffering in our patients. We need it all. We are a medical mission, and our mission is LOCAL. I am encouraged, and Ashland Christian Health Center is strong because of YOU!
