Dear 3ABN Family,

When we’re not traveling for the weekend, Jill and I like to take a Sabbath afternoon walk in nature. It’s great to get exercise in the fresh air and look for lessons in nature—even in the winter. We’re blessed to live in the country, where we can step outside and hear the wind and the birds singing in the trees. We see deer in our yard, squirrels at play, and even an occasional bob-cat quietly stalking its prey. Then, as spring arrives, the birds seem to change their songs to a happy little tune. A few weeks ago, I was taking a Sabbath afternoon walk when I heard a familiar sound in the distance. It was the faint honking of geese, but it took me a few seconds to locate them against the gray sky. Then I spotted them—hundreds of them—flying north. Their honking helped them keep track of each other as they flew in the typical “V” pattern. The lead goose worked the hardest, making it easier for the others by reducing the wind resistance in his wake.

As I watched them flying effortlessly toward their northern home hun-dreds of miles away, I was struck by the thought that, as Christians, we’re also heading toward home—our heavenly home.

At times, we may be called on to take the lead—showing the way, helping to point the way home through encouragement and being there in their time of need. We lend a helping hand, study the Word together, pray together, and listen with our hearts, ultimately pointing them to Jesus. Then, at other times, we may need to follow for a while, letting others help us through the difficult portions of our journey. I encourage you to be a light in a dark place, lead the way when the going gets tough, and be a voice for those who have no strength left.

Every day it’s so encouraging to receive your letters, phone calls, and emails, saying 3ABN is that beacon of light for you and a source of encouragement and strength. Thank you for helping us make a difference in someone’s life today.

A s 2020 gets underway, 3ABN’s new president, Greg Morikone, is excited.

“Although our world is dealing with unprecedented problems,” he says, “I’m encouraged, because Jesus said in Mat-thew 24:6, ‘See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.’ That means we still have a little time to proclaim the three angels’ messages of Revelation 14 to the world, and God is preparing to do something very exciting!

“We see undreamed-of opportunities in places like Cuba, where our 3ABN Latino manager, John Dinzey, tells me that 3ABN programming will soon be available to the public as part of a program package stored on a thumb drive and distributed with the Cuban government’s blessing! No doubt this is a direct blessing from the Lord.

“Our executive committee also has a tremendous burden for the 1.2 billion people who speak Chinese languages, including 800 million who speak Manda-rin. Our dream is for the Lord to show us how to reach them with the gospel, and I believe He will.

“The Lord continues opening doors in the United States and Russia, too. Last year, 3ABN was added to cable companies that reach over 2 million potential viewers

here in the U.S.—including 1.8 million in Detroit, Indianapolis, and throughout the states of Michigan and Indiana. Under the leadership of Julia Outkina, 3ABN Russia can now be seen by thousands of potential viewers in nearly 2,000 cities and villages throughout Russia. We praise the Lord for how He is stretching the reach of the gospel.”

Internet Streaming“Viewers are increasingly using the

Internet to watch 3ABN programming,” Greg continues. “New viewers are watch-ing 3ABN programs on our YouTube channel as never before. In fact, from October to November of 2019, the number of minutes they watched our Christ-cen-tered programming increased by 1.5 mil-lion! Of course, that does not include the hours watched on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, mySDAtv, the 3ABN app, Facebook, and on our multiple websites!” he exclaims.

3ABN On DemandOver-the-air and satellite broadcast-

ing are still doing a powerful work, but the Internet provides the search engines

that focus in on the topics of interest to our viewers and listeners. “3ABN has thousands of programs available online that can be easily found on YouTube,” Greg says, “and these programs provide biblically sound truth for those who are honestly seeking for answers.

“Just the other day, I heard from a man who had been searching for truth online, and the Lord guided him to 3ABN. View-ers are finding these priceless treasures with the power of on demand, so we’re developing a new app this year to allow them to watch or listen to the programs they want to, when they want to, and then share them in seconds!

“We believe the Holy Spirit guides people by bringing a key word to their mind; and when they find answers on 3ABN, they’re ready. In fact, a lady who watched 3ABN for just one month emailed us to find a local Seventh-day Adventist church. She started watching in October, and by November she wanted to be baptized!”

Reaching Out in New WaysGreg says 3ABN is also focusing on

reaching a new generation of young people. “Today’s generation is changing in the way they access media,” he says. “We’ve asked the Lord on our knees, How can we reach them? and as a result, we’ve been impressed to launch 3ABN Spark. This is a new on demand platform with short, shareable content specifically targeted for young people and young pro-fessionals. These clips are being produced both by 3ABN and by other ministries on a wide variety of topics, and we pray that God will use them to reach young people who desperately need Him.

“This year, we’re launching many new episodes of our Kids Camp programs, and a new series called Digital Disconnect that addresses the challenges of being bombarded with messages in the media. 3ABN Radio will be launching a new podcast version of our 3ABN Sabbath School Panel and we’ll continue bringing you live programing like the ASI and GYC Conferences, as well as updates from the General Conference Session in June from Indianapolis, Indiana. You’ve

also told us you want more testimonies of how 3ABN has changed lives, so we’re preparing to bring more of those inspir-ing stories this year.”

Then, Greg turns his focus to evan-gelism. “We’re excited to partner with The Carter Report ministry this month in Manila, Philippines, and we look forward to broadcasting their meetings. 3ABN has been in that country for many years, and thanks to your support, we’ve watched the Holy Spirit work to prepare the way for this great series.

“We are blessed to see lives being changed every day,” Greg concludes, “and I want to thank each of you for partnering with us in spreading the gospel message in these last days.”

Since its first broadcast in 1986, 3ABN has been faithfully spreading the undiluted three angels’ messages of Revelation 14 around the globe. What started as a vision in

1984 has grown, through God’s guidance, into a network that helps mend broken people. Evangelism comes in many forms, and while television and radio are very much

a part of 3ABN’s heartbeat, they are not the only methods used to spread the gospel. Through the years, 3ABN has also been very involved in public evangelism through camp meetings, evangelistic series, rallies, and partnering with others who do the same.

Reaching RussiaInternational evangelist Pastor John Carter, founder of The Carter Report, has been

working in ministry for more than fifty years and has a love for sharing Jesus with the world. We first partnered with him in 1992 to conduct a series of meetings in the city of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.

The outcome was tremendous, and it was evident that the Holy Spirit was working mightily on the hearts of the people! Throngs of Russians rushed to the doors and flooded the arena to hear the preaching of God’s Word; and when the invitation was given, thousands of people came forward and accepted Jesus Christ, as well as Bible truth. What a sight it was to see them baptized in the Volga River!

As another result of this mighty evangelistic effort, 3ABN Russia was founded, providing a place for these new Christians to worship and a way to continue the work of evangelism in that vast country. Since then, 3ABN Russia has produced thousands of television and radio programs, giving millions of people the opportunity to hear the three angels’ messages. Glory be to God!

Thousands Will Hear About Jesusin Manila

Reaching ManilaNow, 3ABN and The Carter Report are working together once again to preach the

gospel—this time in Manila, the capital of the Philippines with a population of more than 1.78 million.

“3ABN and The Carter Report have been close partners in proclaiming the undiluted truths of the three angels’ messages for many years,” Pastor Carter begins, eagerly. “We have worked together in Russia and Ukraine, and with the help of the Holy Spirit, thousands of souls have been rescued from the depths of darkness and despair. Now, we are joining hands and hearts to bring Jesus to the people of Manila, a city that’s bigger than New York City!”

Danny Shelton, 3ABN’s founder and corporate consultant, shares his enthusiasm. “We are tremendously excited to support Pastor John Carter in Manila and we share his passion for evangelism. That’s why we’ve been partnering with The Carter Report ministry for well over 30 years, and to the glory of God, many thousands of souls have accepted Jesus Christ and been baptized and become part of God’s Remnant Church! We look forward to seeing thousands more have the opportunity to accept Jesus as Lord of their life every night.”

Pastor Carter tells us that hundreds of thousands of color brochures have been printed and are ready for distribution. “The Philippine International Convention Center has been booked, giant video screens have been organized, TV and radio stations have been contacted, and hundreds of local churches are involved,” he adds. “Just recently, Danny and Yvonne Shelton interviewed me on 3ABN Today Live, and Danny invited viewers to support this great gospel outreach. Already people are responding to a spiritual event that is destined to shake Manila and the Philippines.”

As he looks back on the long relationship between the two ministries, Pastor Carter adds, “It was in the providence of God that 3ABN and The Carter Report became partners in winning the lost to Christ. We will always be thankful for Danny and Yvonne’s support and generosity.”

Leading to TruthSometimes, even we are surprised how

the Holy Spirit reaches those who are searching to find truth in unusual ways! DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 175ºF.

2. Put dates in a small bowl and pour on boiling water to soften. Cover with a plate and soak for about 5 minutes.

3. Measure oats, coconut, and salt in a bowl.

4. Whiz dates, bananas, and vanilla in a blender until smooth.

5. Pour onto oats and stir well, then rub mixture between hands to coat evenly.

6. Spread mixture onto 2 large baking pans or cookie sheets to about half-inch thickness.

7. Bake for 8–9 hours, or until granola is thoroughly dry. Rotate pans or stir, if desired.

8. Allow granola to cool before storing in airtight containers.

Three Angels Broadcasting Network has been present in Puerto Rico for many years, but our coverage has been restricted to the capital city of San Juan. “We’ve faced many

technical difficulties on that island,” says Moses Primo, 3ABN’s director of broadcasting and engineering. “We’ve had two transmitters and two towers destroyed by hurricanes, and have always rebuilt them. We’ve also dreamed of covering the entire island with the three angels’ messages, but the cost was always prohibitive—until now!

“Over the years, we’ve maintained a good relationship with the owners of our tower site, and recently, they approached us and said, ‘You’ve been good tenants, and we want to help your ministry by offering you a digital sub-channel on each of our four TV stations across the island.’

“This was a real blessing from God, because those four stations—plus our own in San Juan—cover virtually the entire island! So today, by God’s grace, viewers can watch 3ABN Latino on channel 44.1 throughout the entire island!”

John Dinzey, 3ABN Latino Network general manager, says, “We’ve been broadcasting in the San Juan Metropolitan area since 1993, and have been amazed to hear many stories of those whose lives have been transformed. But this was just the beginning, because now that we are covering the whole island, I’m sure it will be the same as when Jesus said to Nathanael in John 1:50, ‘You will see greater things than these.’ Surely, we can expect an even greater harvest of people for God’s kingdom!”
