The THSSCO has completed the Needs Assessment Survey for 20152016. Texas Head Start/Early Head Start Grantees and Delegate Agencies were sent a Qualtrics Survey link to complete the THSSCO Needs Assessment Survey on March 8, 2016. Please complete the Needs Assessment Survey by the March 31, 2016 deadline. This year, the THSSCO Needs Assessment will focus on five (5) of the Federal Priority Areas only: Health Services, Services for Children Experiencing Homelessness, Welfare/Child Welfare; Community Services and Early Childhood Systems Development. The purpose of gathering the survey information is to identify Head Start Program needs across the state, and to inform the activities of the annually revised strategic plan, which provides guidance for the Head Start State Collaboration Office to support programs.
February 2325, 2016, I participated in the Early HeadStart/Child Care Partnership Meeting in Dallas. The regional meeting consisted of Grantees, CC/Partners, State Child Care Administrators, Collaboration Directors, Office of Head Start, National Office of Child Care, Early Childhood National Center Staff, Regional and National Staff, T/TA Teams and Stakeholders. The Region VI Meeting was the second in a series that will take place in each of the twelve (12) Head Start Regions through midMay. The purpose of the meetings is to extend the learning that occurred during the 2015 Partnership Orientations and to work together in problem solving that may lead to an increased level of early care and education policy alignment across systems and funding streams that will ultimately improve quality across early childhood programs.
Participants participated in affinity group discussions, trainings on partnership agreements, comprehensive services and layering services and funds. There were team meetings with program specialist and aligned monitoring systems. An added highlight was the closing Plenary with Dr. Blanca

Great news TSR Online is now open to former TSR sites andteachers! The Children's Learning Institute is very excited to beable to offer ongoing access to online tools and resources for ourformer participants. Our former TSR sites and teachers join thehundreds of Texas school districts, charter schools, Head Startprograms, and Texas Rising Star certified providers alreadyparticipating in TSR Online. Former TSR programs and teachers sign up now for TSR Online for FREE access to TSR's onlinecourses, child progress monitoring tools, and classroom activities!
Through CLI Engage, all TSR Online participants have access to:
CIRCLE Progress Monitoring SystemCIRCLE Activity CollectionOnline Courses, including eCIRCLE (BEECH courses, newinfant and toddler courses, and CIRCLE CDA TrainingProgram courses will be added later this year.)CIRCLE Observation Tools (including the COT, ACOT, andCEC)
