Mom’s Weekend 2016

Reading is Fundamental Event – March 2

Theta Chapter held a Reading is Fundamental event on March 2, National Read Across America Day. Twenty women went to four first grade classrooms at Blue Ridge Elementary School in Columbia. First, Kappas read Cat in the Hat along with One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish to the first graders. Next everyone had a snack, and then each first grader made their own

t was so much fun planning Theta Chapter’s Mom’s Weekend this spring! We kicked off Friday night going to Deja Vu Comedy Club... the comedian was hilarious and related so well with all of the moms and daughters. Saturday morning we went out to Helmi’s Gardens and had fun taking pictures at the photobooth, making bohemian keychains, indulging in the food trucks and enjoying spending time walking

around the gardens with other Kappas and their mama’s. Brunch was hosted on Sunday at the Kappa house and the cooks served a great meal. Theta Chapter is so appreciative of all of the wonderful Kappas and their guests that had the privilege of visiting this year, it was definitely an enjoyable weekend to remember! – Conner Logsdon, Events Chairman

The kids were ecstatic to have Kappas come visit, and Kappas had fun hanging out with all of them as well!– Ally Romano, Philanthropy Chairman
