Winds of March, we welcome you, there is work for you to do, work and play and blow all day, blow the winter cold away.

OUTREACH

In February, our residents saw Thalian Association’s

Mainstage production of “Death of A Salesman” and

the Children’s Theatre’s “101 Dalmations”, a

Chamber Music Concert, and Opera House Theatre

Company’s “Carousol” . Plus, we enjoyed Superbowl

parties, High Teas, Fiestas, Hotty Toddy Socials, Pie

Tastings and more! We were also proud to support

The North Carolina Jazz Festival and make Blessing

Bags and Fleece Blankets for the Homeless.

Through our Brightmore University Series, many

residents, families and community guests brushed up

our Golf Game at “Qi Golf”, enjoyed a wonderful

“Sweetheart Sunday Brunch” on Valentine’s Day and

traveled to Italy’s Tuscany Region for Olive Oil and

Wine Tastings. We were busy!!!

Our Caregiver Support Group that is open to the

public also enjoyed a wonderful and enlightening

presentation on “Loss Says It All” by Etta Breit, PhD

and our former Liberty Hospice Chaplain.

April 1st Outdoors on the Big Screen-“The Age of

Love”, a documentary that follows the humorous and

poignant adventures of thirty seniors in Rochester,

NY, who sign up for a first-of-its-kind speed dating

event exclusively for the 70-90 year-old.

April 22nd’s FREE Workshop “Modern Crimes,

Modern Times-2016”, where state & local law

enforcement agencies will present the information you

must know to prevent yourself or a loved-one from

becoming a victim of frauds, scams, cyber-crimes, fi-

nancial exploitation, elder abuse, and more! .

Complimentary Breakfast and Lunch are included.

During the workshop’s 30-minute morning break,

participants have the opportunity to join an Elder

Abuse Awareness Walk, Stroll & Roll and Earth Day

Celebration taking place on and around Brightmore’s

Campus Fountain & Walking Trail! Come for the

Workshop & Walk or join us just the Walk!
