Dear Readers

Welcome to this edition of the Tradewinds Newsletter Hopefully you have all paid your

annual membership dues and are receiving this newsletter on time Also if you have

renewed and donrsquot have your 2016 membership card yet please let us know You will

need your card to access the OASIS exclusive discounts that local businesses will be

offering this year

We are less than a month away from OASIS Spring Gala fundraiser on March 18th at the

Santa Maria Radisson There is an incredible committee working on it this year and all

indications point to it being our best event yet With so much excitement and momentum

going towards our relocation efforts we hope to see many OASIS members and support-

ers in attendance This is the time to rally around our organization and let the community

know just how powerful we are If you would like to know more please contact our office

or you can go to our website and click the Spring Gala link on the Home Page

Speaking of the new facility I have planned a joint clean-up of Orcutt Creek from Foxen-

wood Lane to N Broadway Street Our property is just south of that creek area and it will

be a great chance to not only see it up close before construction but also show the com-

munity that wersquore already making a positive impact down there We will team up with

John Karamitsos of Santa Barbara County Public Works and Ernest Righetti High School

9th Grade AVID students

The clean-up is scheduled for 1000 am on Saturday March 5th We will provide the

garbage bags I am also working on a possible barbeque lunch afterward so please let

the office know if you plan to attend I think there will be various media sources covering

the event and it would be very powerful to see several OASIS members in attendance

When it comes to cleaning up the community OASIS has been operating the Orcutt

Graffiti Abatement Program for the past few years Our efforts have been receiving extra

recognition lately due to recent concern over burglaries and vandalism in the Orcutt

area Local citizens have been pointing towards our example of not just complaining

about a problem but actually doing something about it If only the public took some time

to learn a bit more about what goes on here at OASIS They would quickly discover that

graffiti is just one of many problems we solve for this community

Dear Readers

Welcome to this edition of the Tradewinds Newsletter Hopefully you have all paid your

annual membership dues and are receiving this newsletter on time Also if you have

renewed and donrsquot have your 2016 membership card yet please let us know You will

need your card to access the OASIS exclusive discounts that local businesses will be

offering this year

We are less than a month away from OASIS Spring Gala fundraiser on March 18th at the

Santa Maria Radisson There is an incredible committee working on it this year and all

indications point to it being our best event yet With so much excitement and momentum

going towards our relocation efforts we hope to see many OASIS members and support-

ers in attendance This is the time to rally around our organization and let the community

know just how powerful we are If you would like to know more please contact our office

or you can go to our website and click the Spring Gala link on the Home Page

Speaking of the new facility I have planned a joint clean-up of Orcutt Creek from Foxen-

wood Lane to N Broadway Street Our property is just south of that creek area and it will

be a great chance to not only see it up close before construction but also show the com-

munity that wersquore already making a positive impact down there We will team up with

John Karamitsos of Santa Barbara County Public Works and Ernest Righetti High School

9th Grade AVID students

The clean-up is scheduled for 1000 am on Saturday March 5th We will provide the

garbage bags I am also working on a possible barbeque lunch afterward so please let

the office know if you plan to attend I think there will be various media sources covering

the event and it would be very powerful to see several OASIS members in attendance

When it comes to cleaning up the community OASIS has been operating the Orcutt

Graffiti Abatement Program for the past few years Our efforts have been receiving extra

recognition lately due to recent concern over burglaries and vandalism in the Orcutt

area Local citizens have been pointing towards our example of not just complaining

about a problem but actually doing something about it If only the public took some time

to learn a bit more about what goes on here at OASIS They would quickly discover that

graffiti is just one of many problems we solve for this community

These Meals are made primarily from scratch Fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables are served to ensure that we influence good eating habits and provide the best nutrition possible The only canned fruits and vegetables used are pineapple mandarin oranges and tomato sauce The breads and pastas are whole grain and the rice we use is brown rice We are dedicated to providing healthy and good tasting foods to our clients We have quarterly menu conferences at which we take comments from our clients and use them to make improvements to the seasonal cycles If you have any input comments compliments or suggestions please give them to your staff contact so that they can bring the information to us at the next menu conference Thank you Enjoy

These Meals are made primarily from scratch Fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables are served to ensure that we influence good eating habits and provide the best nutrition possible The only canned fruits and vegetables used are pineapple mandarin oranges and tomato sauce The breads and pastas are whole grain and the rice we use is brown rice We are dedicated to providing healthy and good tasting foods to our clients We have quarterly menu conferences at which we take comments from our clients and use them to make improvements to the seasonal cycles If you have any input comments compliments or suggestions please give them to your staff contact so that they can bring the information to us at the next menu conference Thank you Enjoy
