March 2015
…and the accolades keep pouring in
We have done it again!
Let’s give a loud round of applause to all our hotels who won us noteworthy felicitations this month and shone bright. Three of our LTP’s, LTPDL1, LTPBL1 and LTPJP1 were recognized for their excellent service standards and reviews by Mouthshut.com along with RON-LTPJP1 also won Mouthshut’s “I Ate Here” award. In addition, LTPJP1 also won the Dainik Bhaskar, Reader’s Choice Award- 2014. RFHHY and LTHDN left no stone unturned with their stellar performances in bagging the MakeMyTrip’s Platinum Pick Award 2014. While, RFHHY is not new in the awards’ league, it was LTHDN’s maiden award, in its first year of operations. The icing on the cake was RON-LTPHY1 winning the coveted Times Food Award -2014 for its delectable cuisine in a glitzy ceremony at Hyderabad. While the awards were many and the appreciation was plenty, we bask in its glory, as it’s good to know the guests loved us and that together, we truly refresh India!!

Neha Dhupia, former Femina Miss India, experienced close-to-home comfort at LTPDL1. The daughter of an Indian Naval officer, she made her acting debut in a play in New Delhi called Graffiti. Thereafter, she appeared in a music video for Indipop band Euphoria and modeled for advertisement campaigns. She made her film debut in Qayamat: City Under Threat. It is also said that Neha down few years will lead the Julie sequel.
Victor Banerjee, a celebrated Indian actor who appears in Hindi, Bengali and English language films, recently experienced our warm hospitality at LTHDN. He was nominated for a BAFTA award in 1986. He is the only person in India who has won the ‘National Award’ in three separate categories. For almost forty years, he has run a blind school in Upper Assam, also he is the brand ambassador for several social initiatives.
Red Fox’s, YearEnd Blast was a roaring success. Representative teams from all Red Fox Hotels and the Corporate Office were invited to a thrilling and adventurous trip to Ranthambore. The fun packed journey met the greeting dancers from Russia and then encountered the majestic Tiger in his territory at Ranthambore National Park…Between the razzmatazz, several interactive activities kept everyone engaged. Here’s presenting a kaleidoscope of pictures for you to catch a glimpse and enjoy the thorough itinerary.
Several dance performances and skits were presented through YEB which saw enthusiastic participation from all the RFH teams. RFHDL bagged the winners trophy in both the events, while RFHHY & RFHJP were runners-up for skit and dance competition respectively. The final day of the event concluded with an awards night where the Corporate team was endowed with quirky ‘Fox Titles’ and a ‘Back-to-School’ themed dinner-do. Misha Mehndiratta and Tarun Lakhanpal won best dressed kids in school. The engaging event wrapped up on a high note with everyone hitting the dance floor over some head -bobbing and hip-shaking numbers leaving all craving for more!!

From LTPDL1 Files Mohit Kumar while inspecting a room before release found 50k INR. Worried that guest would be anxious, he without wasting another moment, sourced the guest’s contact details and co-ordinated to ensure his hard earned money was returned to him.
From LTHGB Files Russel Mariadas Issac and Bangrigari Rama Gurumurthy from F&B service stood tall to our core values of ‘Ownership & Team Work’. On a day when their ‘Kitchen’ teammates needed extra hands of help, they volunteered to tend to dish washing duties over and above their own. Both of them not only juggled the breakfast dishes that day but focused on their regular duties with astounding prowess as well. Well Done, Guys!
From RFHDL Files MD. Kasim on his way back after a guest pick-up, noticed a major car accident near the airport. The car was badly damaged and the occupants were seriously injured. After taking the accompanying guest’s permission, Kasim helped the unconscious accident victims and took them to a reputed hospital for treatment. Indeed, a selfless noble act and a powerful story to tell. Let’s all put a brake and extend a helping hand whenever needed, for good. Kudos Kasim, you make us proud.
From LTPBL1 Files Shakil and Raghavendra jumped to the help of a distressed guest when his father was going through a severe heart attack. Showing presence of mind and sensing the gravity of the situation, they rushed the patient to a nearby multi-specialty hospital. Upon observing the severity of his condition, the doctors at the hospital declined to take onus. Refusing to call it the guest’s fate, Shakil and Raghevendra without wasting a moment, hurried him to another reputed hospital, where he was admitted to the C.C.U. They both stayed the night at the hospital to monitor the situation and ensure that the guest had stabilized. After 4 days of intensive care, the guest is now stable and humbled by the experience. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Thank You guys, you truly live up to our company’s value of ‘delighting our guests, whose comfort, safety, security and well-being is our main reason for being.’ We are very proud of you!

LTPDL1 & RFHDL celebrated World Down Syndrome Day on 21st March. Happily
smiling on the diverse workforce, our Happy People participated in a fun filled
photoshoot. With a purpose to promote inclusiveness, a post was also published on social
media to spread awareness about the cause. This garnered a lot of likes and shares.
Team RFHJP participated in ‘Santushti’; a program
organized by ‘Naya Sawera’ an NGO. As a part of the
program, RFHJP spent some quality time at a school in
the slums and distributed delicious food and deserts to
the kids.
LTHCD turned 3 years old this month. They visited an NGO, Missionaries of Charity, to share their happiness and gratitude. While soaking the sun, they spent their happy hours with the underprivileged. As the night set in, the celebrations grew larger and a ceremonial cake was cut amidst fun and banter.
She is lively. She is smart. She is vivid…Celebrating Women! On the eve of International Women’s Day, our hotels highlighted the importance, spirit & power of women while celebrating their vibrant and resonating self. A day filled with roses & pampering turned into an evening of fun activities and cake cutting which then ended with celebratory drinks & dance.
Team RON, LTPHY1 climbed the No. 1 spot on TripAdvisor this month. They celebrated their success by cutting a congratulatory cake amidst cheer and pride.
LTHCN celebrated their 6th anniversary in February. An evening of fun and frolic was planned by cutting a ceremonial cake followed by some brilliant performances by the hotel staff and scrumptious gala dinner.
RFHHY conducted a session aiming at cost-optimization measures for all its employees. The event was intended at improving the efficiency of all the departments and effective management of resources.
Gulshan Kumar, Projects team, Corporate Office had been assigned a tough job of getting the Property Tax corrected for LTHCN. It was only with his determined effort that both the Property & Water Tax of the hotel was aptly amended by the government authorities, reducing the financial outflow of LTHCN by Rs. 57 Lacs per year, and resulting in huge savings for the company. For his persistent coordination and for achieving this rare feat, the company has also suitably rewarded him.
Kudos Gulshan! You make us proud!
Splashes of colors marked the festival of
Holi at Lemon Tree. Here is a glimpse of the fun, spirited and vibrant celebrations across our hotels.
