YMCA ARK CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER

On Monday, June 11, the YMCA will open the doors toour Ark Child Development Center located at the William

K. Nitterhouse Family Program Center on ColdbrookAvenue.

We are currently accepting registrations for children ages3-5 to participate in this program. The registration feeis $25. Any questions about the program may bedirected to Melanie Cook at 263-8508.

ITS MORE THAN A GAME

Indoor Ultimate Frisbee 3v3 Tournament will be held

Cost is $50 per team.Registration is due by April 24th. You may sign up at thefront desk, or print the registration form.

MEMBERSHIP DINNERSave the date! The annual membership dinner will beheld on Monday, March 26 at 6:15 at The OrchardsRestaurant.

GOOD FRIDAY BREAKFASTPlease join us at King Street United Brethren Church for our GoodFriday Breakfast on . Breakfast will be served at 6:15 a.m.in the Baker Center, followed by a Good Friday service officiatedby Dr. Ford at 7 a.m. in the sanctuary. Accompanied by the KingStreet Orchestra, the YMCA Community Choir will join the KingStreet Choir in a blessed musical event.

Tickets will be available at the YMCA front desk in March.

BREAKFAST WITH THE EASTER BUNNY

Date:

YMCA families with children ages 8 and younger are invited to the Yfor a Family Breakfast & Easter Egg Hunt. Children will get to meetand take pictures with the Easter bunny. Join us for some free familyfun!

Mt. Moriah Baptist Church has partnered with the Chambersburg YMCAto offer a Friday Night Youth program for grades 6-12. Kids can come to

the Y between 6 pm - 10 pm to play volleyball, basketball, video games,or just hang out with friends.

All youth must fill out an application signed by a parent toparticipate.

HEALTHY KIDS DAY

Mark Your Calendar! from 1-4, we will behosting our Annual Healthy Kids Day. This event is free tothe public. We will have vendors from the community pro-moting services to ensure healthier families, as well asdemonstrations of YMCA classes and programs.

5K WALK/RUN/PUMP-N-RUN & 1K FUN RUNThe Chambersburg YMCA 5K, 5K Pump-n-Run and1K Fun Run will take place on . ThePump-n-Run challenges those individuals who notonly work hard on the road but hit the weights too.The Pump-n-Run takes the number of times a

person benches their own body weight andsubtracts 30 seconds for each repetition from their5K time. The 5K race is a 3.1 mile run/walk throughChambersburg. The 1K Fun Run is designed for kidsand adults of all ages.

COUCH TO 5K BOOT CAMP

This 8 week program will move you from your couch tobecome a 5K finisher! Participants begin with walking andslowly progress to a running program in a group setting.The program will culminate with the YMCA 5K on June 2nd.Program cost covers the 5K entry fee.

SPRING INTO SHAPEACTIVTRAX CHALLENGE

Created to encourage exercise and to use our ,we have come up with a fun challenge for our members. For

every ActivTrax workout completed, you will earn 25 points.For every cardio mile you complete (up to 10 miles per day),you earn 2 points. There is a maximum of 45 points you canearn per day.

The contest will run March 20 April 17. Sign up today in ourFitness Center. If you are not currently activated onActivTrax, schedule an appointment to get started!

Prizes will be awarded at the end of the challenge. Please seethe Fitness Center Staff with any questions.

SUMMER BIDDY CAMPS

We provide half-day camps centered around various themesincluding sports, crafts, animals, the environment and more. Ourcarefully selected, well trained staff will guide and teach yourchildren the behaviors and values that will enable them to growand mature as individuals.

PRESCHOOL DISCOVERY CENTER

The 2012-2013 preschool discovery center school year will run from September 4,2012 - May 24, 2013. We will continue to offer classes for our 3 years olds onTuesday and Thursday, and for our 4-5 year olds on Monday, Wednesday and Fridayfrom 9-12. There will be no afternoon enrichment available for 4-5 year olds.

The Chambersburg Chargers Swim Team has had a great season, and will be heading toStates this weekend! We would like to congratulate our swimmers on the season so far,and wish them luck at McCoy Natatorium on the Penn State Campus. The meet will becontested Saturday, 24th, and Sunday, 25th.
