Hello Residents,

Spring is in the Air!

Spring is such a special time of year. It is so exciting! We are blessed to see some beautiful colors start to emerge. The temperatures start to rise, and the days are longer and filled with sunshine. It is so nice to sit back and watch God’s beautiful creation blooming.

I encourage you to get out of your rooms as much as possible, and enjoy all the beauty around you. Take a Sunshine Ride with J.R. and see the pretty flowers and trees starting to bloom. Take a walk through the Regency Park, and feel the fresh Spring air. There are many different activities to enjoy that will help you feel renewed and rejuvenated.

We are so thankful to have you as a member of the Regency family. We hope you enjoy all that Regency has to offer.

Happy Spring!

This is one of our favorite entertainers who can pick that electric guitar like nobody’s business! Steve Carr keeps us tapping our toes and smiling throughout his performance. Steve will return to us on Monday, March 2nd at 2 pm. Come join us, and listen to some great music.

Each month, we host a Lunch for Veterans. This is an opportunity for our Veterans and Veterans from the local community to come together to enjoy some fellowship and a good meal. Each month, our friends from the Quilts of Valor present a beautiful, hand-crafted quilt to a Veteran at the luncheon. Our own Buck Buchanan was surprised to receive this wonderful honor at this month’s luncheon. We encourage all of our Veterans to join us each month on the 2nd Tuesday at 11:30 in the Parlor. Please RSVP at the Front Desk so we prepare enough food.

What a wonderful time we had at our Annual Valentine’s Dance! After a delicious snack of cookies, chips and dip, fruit, and punch, we gathered in the Parlor. Tommy Kinsler, our DJ, kept a great mix of music going to keep us danc-ing and having fun. Alan entertained us with a couple of karaoke numbers. We had a wonderful afternoon of danc-ing, laughing, and just having a great time together. We will certainly look forward to having our Valentine’s Dance again next year, but we will get a chance to dance again in April when we host our Senior Prom.

Valentine’s Dance — February 14th

We took so many great pictures of all the fun we had at the Valentine’s Dance, we decided to double up in the news-letter so you could enjoy even more great photos. We were so glad to see so many smiling, happy faces enjoying the afternoon together. Whether you could dance or not, everyone had a wonderful time!

Do you have a talent you are willing to share with us? Maybe you sing, play an instrument, tell a funny joke, or dance — whatever your talent is, we encourage you to share it with us! We will feature our Residents’ talents on Monday, March 9th at 6 pm. Please let Valerie know if you are interested in participating, so a program list can be compiled.

Resident Talent ShowMarch 9th at 6:00 pm

We will travel to College Square Cinemas to watch “The Call of the Wild”. Adapted from the beloved liter-ary classic by Jack London, “The Call of the Wild” viv-idly brings to the screen the story of Buck, a big-hearted dog, whose blissful domestic life is turned upside down when he is suddenly uprooted from his California home, and transplanted to the exotic wilds of the Alaskan Yukon during the Gold Rush of the 1890s. We will stop for supper after the movie. Please sign up in the Green Book outside the Coffee Shop on the 2nd floor.

Trip to the Movies March 10th at 3:30 pm

We will travel to Pigeon Forge to visit CiCi’s Pizza and then on to the Moon Pie General Store to do a little shopping. This store has much more than just Moon Pies!! There is a bookstore connected to it, as well as an offering of gifts, other snacks, and much more. Who knows, we may even stop at the Russell Stover store on the way home!

CONNECT WITH US

Thank You, for your outstanding service & care!

Heather is exceptionally ded-icated to her job as Director of Resident Services. She has taken complete ownership and pretty much worries 24/7 about how resident care is going. She comes into work in the middle of the night to

make sure the caregivers have adequate support and coverage. Her dedication, work ethic, and ability to work under pressure are just some of the reasons she was nominated. Thank you, Heather, for all you do to make Regency a better place for our Residents!
