Series: In the Shadow of His Coming (1 & 2 Thessalonians) PLEASING GOD IN SEXUAL CONDUCT AND LOVE
1 Thessalonians 4:1-12 In urging followers of Jesus in 1 Thessalonians 4:1-12 to not only continue to please God in their conduct as instructed, but to do so more and more, the apostle Paul de-scribes two specific ways in which we can do so: in our sexual conduct and how we love one another. I. LIVE PLEASING TO GOD MORE AND MORE AS TAUGHT (4:1-2) 1. Continue to live pleasing to God and increase in doing so (1) 2. As you have been taught by the authority of the Lord Jesus (2) II. BE HOLY IN YOUR SEXUAL CONDUCT (4:3-8) 1. The will of God is your sanctification, that is, holiness in how you live (3a) 2. That you be holy in your sexual conduct (3b-6a) 3. Why? The Lord’s judgment, God’s call, the empowering Holy Spirit (6b-8) III. LOVE ONE ANOTHER MORE AND MORE (4:9-12) 1. God has taught you to love one another-- and you’re doing it! (9-10a) 2. Love one another more and more in the everyday things of life (10b-11) 3. Why? To win the respect of unbelievers and not exploit the generosity of believers (12)

March 2020: Media Prayer Priorities for America
We need to mobilize thousands of churches and ministries, comprised of millions of people who will pray for America this month. Our nation needs prayer beyond what it has ever needed before.
Here at Cornerstone, as we prepare for National Day of Prayer in May 2020, we will be emphasizing one of the seven areas of influence each month leading up to the National Day of Prayer. The areas are: Government, Military, Family, Educa-tion, Business, Media and Church.
For the month of March, the emphasis is Media and entertainment.
There are five subareas for media we will be praying for this month: Film, TV, Vid-eo, Music and Publication. In a study from 2018: the percentage of five areas were: Film (40%), TV (34%), Video (8%), Music (6%) and Publication (12%).
