Edessa was home to Baldwin II and his army
Antioch Antioch was located just south of Edessa
and was home to the Byzantine Empire. It was captured by the Seljuks in 1085
Tripoli Tripoli is south of Antioch found in
present day Syria It was home to Bertrand of Toulouse It was created in 1109
Acre Acre is South of Tripoli located in
Western Galilee It was ruled by Arab Caliphates It was the main port of the eastern
Mediterranean since 1170
Jerusalem Jerusalem is south of Acre and the last
of the five main Countries/Sites of the Crusades
This was considered the holy land to all Christians, Muslims, and Jews
