Authorized Park Boundary

A well–marked inland waterroute runs from Flamingo toEverglades City. Sequentiallynumbered markers guide you over its 99 miles (160kilometers). Boats more than18 feet (6 meters) or withhigh cabins and windshieldsshould not attempt the routebecause of narrow channels

and overhanging foliage insome areas. The routerequires a minimum of sixhours with outboard motoror seven days by canoe.One-day round trips are notrecommended. Campsitesare available along the route.Backcountry camping per-mits are required.

Do not use this map for navi-gation. For safe boating, Nat-ional Ocean Survey chartsare indispensable. Charts11430, 11432, 11433, 11451are for sale at the Coe VisitorCenter, Flamingo, and in theEverglades City area. All keysand beaches in and alongFlorida Bay are closed to

landings unless otherwisedesignated. All commercialfishing is prohibited in thepark. Recreational fishingrequires a license in bothfreshwater and saltwater.Where backcountry campingis allowed, a camping permitis required.
