HOLISTIC GOAL

MAPLE VIEW FARM HOLISTIC GOAL 2011 (Re-adopted 2012)

At Maple View Farm we want:

To live a pastoral lifestyle where we value life, animals and the environment and we teach that to our kids. To make use of our land as much as possible. To have financial success that lets us lead a debt-free life where, on occasion, we can leave the farm. To build strong family relationships that will last a lifetime. To offer healthy food to our community and education that makes them value our food.

To that end we will:

Value resource conservation, include the kids in most aspects of the farm. Create environments on the farm where they can enjoy nature and animals through their experiences. Grow things on the farm with what is best for the land as first priority. Raise animals and vegetables that we like to eat. Document finances to ensure all programs are profitable. Assess annually. Make time for family and individual activities. Develop farm-visit/field trip programs that can be experienced by groups or families.
