Although our mission is to preserve Urban Trees, as a Last Resort, sometimes they have to be removed due to: • An overwhelming attack from insects or disease • Urban development • Urban stresses like poor soil, competition with lawns, pollution • General neglect Our Arborists were tired of seeing these trees turned into firewood or sent to the landfill, so we decided to renew them: • Trees are taken down carefully to preserve all useable wood • Logs are cut into lumber on our sawmill, focusing on the unique characteristics of the wood • The wood is air dried in drying sheds and then kiln dried RENEWABLE RESOURCES A DIVISION OF MAPLE HILL TREE SERVICES Our goal is to renew this resource in a manner that helps us all to become more aware of Urban Trees, allowing us to enjoy our trees long after they have died. Once the lumber is dry, our Carpenters create hand crafted furniture and buildings in an artistic and unique manner: • Dining room tables and chairs • Coffee tables, wall art, cutting boards • Timber frame buildings
