With an excellent road network and railway connections through to Marske, Redcar and Saltburn, visiting Redcar and Cleveland has never been easier. So whether you are a visitor or lucky enough to live in the borough, there is no reason why your leisure time shouldn’t be filled with fun adventures.

Steel StoriesKirkleatham Museum & Grounds, Redcar, TS10 5NW5 April – Spring 2020 Kirkleatham Museum presents a powerful celebration of our region’s steel and industrial heritage. This interactive exhibition is the culmination of 12 months of community engagement and research, showcasing stories, artefacts and pictures from real people who worked and lived with steel.

Using a variety of display techniques, different stories of steel will come to life throughout the museum and grounds. Walk through a locker room, listen to stories told by real people, see the historic timeline and look to the future as the stories of steel move from the past to the present. New and exciting art will be on display, providing unique interpretations, particularly of one of the region’s most iconic structures: the Redcar Blast Furnace.
