    InformationIt is essential that schools have a role in calling students attention to social solidarity, tothe development of volunteering and of a spirit of solidarity among students. It is important

    to promote actions that make them feel useful for society and it is also important thatsociety gives students more opportunities for them to feel they are citizens with rights andobligations.Solidarity nets are more than a form of survival for the human species. They are analternative to insertion and a way to fight social exclusion. They are also an important formof collective participation in building a fairer and more balanced society.

    Subjects involvedHistory, Science, Biology, Geography, English, Physical Education, ITC, etc.

    LanguageEnglish.

    Ages Group13-18 year-olds

    Tools

    All ITC tools available in school. The communication will be held by e-mail, twinspace,webcam (skype or Messenger) and Facebook.

    Resources- The school, the coordinator and the students will be responsible for all the necessaryresources.

    Method

    It is a very open project on social solidarity.

    Activities:Each school selects a series of activities on the following areas: social e-twinning,volunteer e-twinning and creative e-twinning.

    Categories:1- Social etwinning social activities (visits to old peoples homes or schools forstudents with special needs, campaigns to collect food and clothes, cooperationwith social and humanitarian institutions, etc.)2- Volunteering etwinning Volunteering activities (for example: Food banks,

    Scouts, Red Cross and other Non-Profit Organizations)3- Creative etwinning Activities where the creativity of those involved is clear(slideshows, PPTs, videos, among others whether or not related to our theme.)

    Sharing: The activities will be previously agreed by the partnersPublishing All the work done by those involved will be published in Twinspace and on theBlog of the project.Evaluation The Project will be evaluated by the partners at the end.

    Expected Results

    1-We hope that students can create and develop solidarity nets which will allow them todevelop their personality as proactive citizens, on behalf of a fairer and more balancedsociety.2- We hope that all the activities are shared and agreed on by the partner schools so thata good partnership is developed.3- We hope we can help a lot of people have a better life and that our students can learnfrom this experience and can take this knowledge throughout their lives.
