Oct. 21 at 9:14 a.m., Officer John Sebastian was dispatched to the 1000 block of Schley St. in reference to an 18-wheeler stuck on the railroad cross- ing. Delgado's Wrecker Service arrived and removed the truck. At 10:50 a.m., Lt. Wendy Thomp- son met with an SPCA investigator at the PD in reference to a reported case of animal neglect. Case open pending investigation. At 1:55 p.m., Chief WE. Lattimore met with complainant at the PD in ref- erence to criminal mischief. Informa- tion was received. At 2:54 p.m., Officer Sebastian was dispatched to FM 102 north to assist Medic 3 with loading a patient. At 5:04 p.m., Officer Sebastian was dispatched to the 700 block of East B Street in reference to possible harass- ment. Information was received. At 6:40 p.m., Officer Arnold Terra- zas met with complainant at the PD in reference to a missing license plate. In- formation was received. At 7:18 p.m., Officer Terrazas was dispatched to the 300 block of Mills St. in regards to a stolen bike. Infor- mation was received. Oct. 22, at 7:28 a.m., Officer Cha- rles Cole was contacted at the PD by a complainant in regards to a stolen bike. Information was received and the bike was later recovered. At 8:03 a.m., a subject in regards to paying an outstanding Eagle' Lake Municipal Court warrant contacted Officer Cole at the PD. At 1:38 p.m., Lt. Thompson was contacted by a subject at the PD in re- gards to a civil matter. At 6:49 p.m., Officer Terrazas was dispatched to the 100 block of Justin Way in regards to a suspicious vehicle. Terrazas was unable to locate a vehicle matching the description given. At 7:06 p.m., Officer Terrazas and Sgt. Bryan Lasley were dispatched to the 200 block of W. Post Office St. in regards to an activated alarm. A key holder arrived and the interior of the building was checked. All was found to be in order. At 8:17 p.m., Sgt. Lasley was dis- patched to FM 3013, just outside the city limits, in regards to a major auto accident. Lasley remained on scene to assist with traffic control. At 10:55 p.m., Sgt. Lasley and Of- ficer Terrazas were dispatched to the 300 block of N. Lake Ave. in regards to a disturbance. The reported combat- ants were no longer on the scene. In- formation was received. Oct. 23, at 9:01 a.m., Officer Cole was dispatched to the 1600 block of E. Main St. in regards to a minor accident in the parking lot. Blue forms were is- sued to report the matter. At 3:22 p.m., Officer Cole was dis- patched to the 500 block of Stevens St. in regards to a 9-1-1 hang up. Investi- gation revealed all was in order. At 7:30 p.m., Officer Terrazas was dispatched to the 200 block of Airline Dr. in reference to loud music. Infor- mation was received. Oct. 24, at 12:05 a.m., Officer Ter- razas and Sgt. Lasley were dispatched to the 1200 block of E. State St. in ref- erence to possible harassment. Infor- mation was received. At 1:33 p.m., Officer Sebastian was dispatched to the 700 block of S. Mc Carty Ave. in reference to a damaged vehicle. Information was received. At 10:25 p.m., Officer Justin Alde- rete was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Main St. in regards to crowd con- trol. Oct. 25, at 10:25 a.m., Officer Seba- stian was dispatched to the 1200 block of E. Main St. in regards to a one-ve- hicle accident. Investigation com- pleted. At 5:50 p.m., Sgt. Steve Nelson met with a complainant at the PD in regards to a civil matter. Information was re- ceived. At 5:53 p.m., Officer Alderete and Sgt. Nelson were dispatched to the 200 block of Beaks St. in regards to an in- toxicated pedestrian staggering around in the roadway. Ramiro Ruvalcaba was arrested for public intoxication, pro- cessed at the PD and transported to the Colorado County Detention Center for confinement. At 9:16 p.m., Sgt. Nelson was dis- patched to the 100 block of Walnut St. in regards to 9-1-1 hang-ups coming from the payphone. Investigation re- vealed children had been playing with the phone. At 9:J7 p.m., Sgt. Nelson was dis- patched to the 500 block of E. Main St. in regards to a fight in progress. One party left the scene by the time the of- ficers arrived. Information was re- ceived. At 9:30 p.m., Officer Alderete was dispatched to FM 102 north to check on a deer that had reportedly been struck by a vehicle. At 9:36 p.m., Officer Alderete was dispatched to the 800 block of B Street in regards to suspicious activity. Infor- mation was received. At 10:41 p.m., Officer Alderete as- sisted DPS troopers with an accident investigation that took place just out- side the city limits at FM 3013 and Carter Walker Rd. At 10:58 p.m., Sgt. Nelson and Of- ficer Alderete were dispatched to the corner of B Street and S. Lake Ave to a fight in progress. Upon arrival, the of- ficers learned two females had been fighting but left prior to the officers' arrival. Case open for investigation. Oct. 26, at 4:48 p.m., Officer Alde- rete was dispatched to the 900 block of E Street in regards to a vehicle which had been driven through a fence. The vehicle was found abandoned in the yard where the fence damage occurred. Case open for investigation. At 10:43 a.m., Officer Sebastian was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Main St. in regards to a gas drive-off. Case open for investigation. At 12:01 p.m. Officer Sebastian was dispatched to the 600 block of Maple St. in regards to a disturbance. The matter was settled at the scene. At 2:08 p.m., Officer Sebastian met with a complainant at the PD in regards to concerns she had about a relative liv- ing in Eagle Lake. Options were dis- cussed. At 3:25 p.m., Officer Sebastian was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Main St. in regards to a gas drive-off. Case open for investigation. At 6:27 p.m., Sgt. Nelson was dis- patched to the 500 block of E. Main St. in regards to the smell of something burning in a business. It was deterr mined that accumulated dust was burn- ing off as the heating system had been dormant all summer. Oct. 27, at 12:05 a.m., Officer Alde- rete assisted DPS troopers with a bel- ligerent person on FM 102 north of the city limits. With the Culpepper and Merriwea- ther Circus over and done, a few chil dren in the area should be recognized for winning contests held prior to the circus Wednesday, Oct. 22. Children from area schools were asked to guess how peanuts were in jar in order to win prizes in conjunction with the circus. From Eagle Lake Middle School, first place went to Alexandra Castillo. Runners-up were Jaquita Woods, Kir- sten Roper, Ashley Carroll and Miche- lle Mendoza. ' From Sheridan, Katelyn Besch, a second grader, took first place. Can- dance Griffith and Lyndsay Serbin, both kindergarten students, placed sec- ond and third, respectively; Kaci Kaz- mir, an eighth grader, took fourth; and Brittany Moore, second grade, fifth. Alejandra Mendoza, a fourth grade student at Eagle Lake Primary School, was the big winner of a circus ticket and elephant ride. Other ticket winners were John Morales and Racheal Na- varro, fourth graders; Ricardo Gonza- lez, second grade; and Nicholas Con- treras, third grade. Garwood students also participated. Among the winners were first place, Mercedes Saenz; second, Austin Dota; third, Jessye Trefny; fourth, Adriel Hernandez; fifth place (tie), Kaydi Gold, Johnny Casteneda, Katie Pagel, Mackenzie Krpec and Ashley Haynes. For those who attended the circus, young and young-at-heart, had a great time. Thanks to the Culpepper and Merri- weather Circus for stopping in Eagle Lake. But, most of all, thanks to the Eagle Lake Chamber of Commerce for sponsoring the event.
