COYOTE LANDSCAPE PRODUCTSoffers steel landscape edging for resi-dential and commercial application. Steel edging is available in powder coated, plated and raw finishes. Steel edging is recommended for use in areas requiring permanent and distinct separation of differ-ent materials.

Basic Uses

Use steel landscape edging as a border between planting beds, walkways, and driveways. Steel landscape edging is ideal for separating different materials from one another, like grass from mulch, rock fill from grass, paver bricks from walkway, etc.

Advantages

COYOTE LANDSCAPE PRODUCTS steel edging is manufactured for superior dura-bility on state-of-the-art roll forming equip-ment. In-house manufacturing capabilities allow for extensive inventory in-stock. Lead times for most products are only two to three days.

Ease of InstallationSteel landscape edging installs quickly and easily. Dual punch out pockets for inter-locking stakes allow stakes to be driven down in a straight line. A variety of acces-sories help insure flawless installations onto a wide array of terrain.

Environmentally Friendly

Of all the different things which can be recycled, steel is North America’s most recycled material. According to the Steel Recycling Institute (SRI), as of November 15, 2012 the recycling rate of steel is at an all time high of 92%. All North American steel contains recycled steel.

EcoCoat™ powder coating takes it a step further.

Pre-treatingA specialized process called plaforization provides a simple, disposal-free solution for pre-treating metal to remove surface oils and other contaminates that would mar the powder coating. The plaforization process is conducted with low vapor pres-sure, emitting virtually no VOCs. There is no water rinse involved, so no wastewater is produced. No sludge is created; nothing is added to a landfill. The process contains no halogenated compounds, ozone-deplet-ing compounds, carcinogens, mutagens, or hazardous air pollutants.

Powder CoatingPowder coatings emit virtually no VOCs. Powder coating overspray can be recycled and thus it is possible to achieve nearly 100% use of the coating. Powder coatings can produce much thicker coatings than conventional liquid coatings without run-ning or sagging, and increases products durability.

Infrared CuringOnly the surface of the part and the powder must be heated rather than the whole part. The IR oven has no blowers or fans and uses much less energy, reducing emissions.

Dry OffA dry-off oven is used that recuperates heat exhausted from the IR Cure Ovens. Curing and drying occur in a nearly closed-loop.

Installation

Edging to be installed as indicated on Con-tract Illustrations, according to the Coyote Landscape Products Company recom-mendations. Edging to be anchored with steel stakes spaced approximately 2.5’ on center, driven flush with rolled edge of product. Stakes are required to be driven in solid soil, with no less than 85% relative compaction.

Alignment (Horizontal): Install edging as indicated by alignments without kinks, bends, or waves. Curved sections shall be installed as indicated without kinks, bends, or waves. The Land-scape Architect will have the opportunity to review the layouts.

Alignment (Vertical): Edging is to be installed parallel with the finished grade, with top of edging to be no more than 1/2” above it.

Stakes:Interlocking stakes should be placed through pockets and driven into ground so that top of stake is just flush with rolled or straight edge.
