AP-28-700A Control BoxInstructions:

The thumbwheels are used to set the amount of stretch inthe rubber while sewing. Decreasing the numberincreases the stretch that will be in the rubber.

Pressing the jog button will run the feed motor and feedrubber into the insert tube manually.

The insert knob is a ten turn potentiometer that adjusts theamount of rubber fed into the insert tube when you insertthe rubber by heeling the treadle switch. Adjust it so thatthe rubber is fed all the way into the seam without havingfolds of rubber in the insert tube.

After the rubber is inserted, the feed roller will meter therubber into the seam at a rate determined by the setting ofthe thumbwheels.When the treadle switch is heeled a second time the feed

roller will feed a small amount of extra rubber into theinsert tube to remove some of the tension on the rubberprior to cutting.The cutter will cut the rubber and the feed roller will stop

metering until the next insert cycle is completed.The cut knob adjusts the amount of rubber fed into the

insert tube prior to cutting.Adjust this so that the rubber does not snap back during

cutting and cause the rubber to not feed correctly duringthe next insert.

Instrucciones Para la Caja deControl AP-28-700A:

Los selectores son usados para fijar cuanto ha de estirarsela goma mientras se cose. El disminuir el númeroaumenta el estiramiento de la goma.

Al hundir el botón de Prueba el motor alimentará la gomaen el tubo de inserción.

El botón de inserción es un potenciómetro de diezgraduaciones que ajusta la cantidad de goma que se insertaen el tubo de inserción cuando se taconea el pedal.Ajustelo de forma que la goma es alimentada totalmenteen la costura sin que haya pliegues de la goma en el tubode inserción.

Después que la goma es insertada, el rodillo alimentadormedirá la goma en la costura a una velocidad determinadapor la graduación de los selectores.Cuando el interruptor del pedal es taconeado una segundavez el rodillo alimentará una pequeña cantidad adicionalde goma en el tubo de inserción para quitar un poco de latensión en la goma antes de cortar.El cortador cortará la goma y el rodillo dejará de medirhasta que el próximo ciclo de inserción se completa.El botón de cortar ajusta la cantidad de goma alimentadaen el tubo de inserción antes de cortar.Ajuste este para que la goma no “salte” hacia atráscuando se corta y porque puede causar que la goma no seaalimentada correctamente en la siguiente inserción.

Belt Replacement1. Remove belt covers,

030-022 and 030-023.

2. Loosen set screws indrive shaft coupling(030-019) and upperdrive pulley (030-018),remove shaft(030-016).

3. Loosen set screws inlower drive pulley(030-018) and removefrom feed roller shaft(030-005).

4. Visually checkcomponents for wear,clean all build up offoreign material fromteeth of drive rollers.Replace rollers ifnecessary; damagedrollers will causepremature failure ofbelts, bearings and other drive components.

Cambio de la correa1.Quite las cubiertas de la

correa, 030-022 y030-023.

2.Afloje los tornillos en launión en el eje de latransmisión (030-019) yen la polea superior de latransmisión (030-018),quite el eje (030-016)

3.Afloje los tornillos de lapolea de abajo (030-018)y quite el eje del rodillotransportador (030-005)

4.Visualmente chequee loscomponentes pordesgaste, limpie losdientes de los rodillos dela transmisión. Cambielos rodillos si esnecesario; rodillosdañados causarán fallasprematuras de lascorreas, los rodamientos

y otros componentes de la transmisión.

5. Install belt over upper drive pulley, position andre- install clean/oiled shaft (030-016). Rotatedrive pulley to line up set screws with flats onshaft and tighten. Position belt over lower drivepulley and reinstall onto lower shaft (030-005).Line up flats with set screws and tighten.

Preventive MaintanceClean Unit At least every two (2) months.

Oil as needed.

5. Instale la correa sobre la polea de la transmisiónde arriba, coloque el eje limpio y aceitado(030-016). Gire la polea alineando los tornilloscon los planos en el eje y aprietelos. Ponga lacorrea sobre la polea de abajo y vuelva a instalaren el eje de abajo (030-005) Alínie los planoscon los tornillos y aprietenlos.

Mantenimiento PreventivoLimpie la unidad por lo menos cada dos (2) meses.

Aceitela cada vez que se necesite.
