ThankyouforpurchasingtheTouch Screen Controller. It is a versatile product that simplifiestheprogrammingandexpandsthecapabilitiesofthebasicmodules.

Theuseofamodernmicroprocessoranicon-basedmenusystemthatsimplifiesthelearningcurve,makingitpleasanttouseandintuitive.

Itshigh-sensitivitytouchscreenisverybrightandreadablethankstothehighpixeldensityandhighcontrast.

E-VISION Control Center willbecomethecontrolcenterofyournetworkmodulesE-VISION(temperature,pH,conductivity,redox,etc..)andwillextendthefun-ctionsbyaddingasimpleoperationandflexibility.

a.:BeforeconnectingE-VISIONControlCenteranditsaccessories,findasafeandaccessibleplace.TheinteriorofthecabinetofyouraquariumisNOTasafeplace.Toreducetheriskofelectricshockisimportanttoavoidwettingtheformsandexposingthemtoexcessivewaterspray.

Thetouchscreenisfittedwithamagnettomakemountingquickandsimple.

b:Alwaysarrangecabelingtoincorporateadriptopreventwaterreachingpo-wer sockets.

c:Donotdropthemodulesinwater.Ifthishappens,unplugthemainspowerim-mediatelyandcontacttheElosservicecenterforacompleteoverhaul.

STARTING UP 1

ProceduretoconnectmodulestotheE-VisionControlCenter2Withthecontrollerfixedinadry,flatvisiblesurface,proceedasfollows:

a:Attachoneendofthesuppliedcable(4pinphonestyle)totheI/OportontherighthandsideoftheE-VISIONControlCentermodule

b:AttachthefreeendofthecabletooneofthetwoCOMportsonthebottomoftheE-VISIONTEMPO

c:Connect eachadditional E-VISIONmoduleas per their respective instructionmanual

d:AttachLASTthepowermodulessuppliedwiththelightingsystem(orpurchasedseperately)

e:TheE-VISIONTEMPOmodulewilldisplayREM(remote),ifnotcheckallconnections

Do not disconnect or connect the variouscomponents unless THE SYSTEM IS DISCONNECTED

FROM MAINS POWER. YOUR SYSTEM MAY BEPERMANENTLY DAMAGED!

** ATTENTION: **:theconnectionofthe4-pinplugsinthe6pinsockets(locatedatthetopofeachcontrolmodules)canPERMANENTLYdamagethesockets.Nowarrantywillbegivenincasethesocketswillbedamagedforthemisuseoftheseconnectionscables.

PROGRAMMING 3.0

YourTouchScreenisdesignedtofacilitatetheprogrammingofthemodulescon-nectedtoit.Onceconnected,theTouchScreenwilltakeprecedenceoverdi-rectprogramming(viakeyboard)oftheindividualcontrolmodules.Theirdisplaywill show the word “Rem”.Theprogrammingwillbedonethroughthetouchscreen.Onceinsideeachmenu,adescriptioninEnglishwillfacilitateunderstanding.

SET CURRENT TIME 3.1

the set up of the current time is done in the General Setup menu. Act as shown below:

a.fromthemainpage“MAIN CONTROL PAGE1”,pressthe“DOWN ARROW” key and then the “CONFIG” menu you will enter in “GENERAL SETUP”.

b. press “SET” and you will enter in the menu “SYSTEM CLOCK SET-UP” in which you can set the current time.

c. Press “SET”andthroughthe“UP ARROW” or “DOWN ARROW” increase or de-creasetheblinkingvalue.

d.Choosewhethertochangethehourorminutebypressingthe“LEFT ARROW” or “RIGHT ARROW”

e.Aftersettingthecurrenttime,pressthebutton“SET”tostorethesettings,orpress the “EXIT”tocancelthechangesandreturntothepreviouspage.

FIRMWARE UPDATE 3.2

ThefirmwareupdateisdonewithinthesameGeneral Setupmenu.Actingasindicatedinparagraph3.1a

a. press the “PC-COM”icon TheTouchScreenwillbeplacedin“reception”readytouploadthefirmwarethroughtheappropriateinterfaceandsoftwarethatcamewithit(theinterfaceissoldseparatelyasanOptional).

Note:ThedisplaywillautomaticallyexitthesettingmodeafterapresettimeorwhenyoupresstheExitbutton.

b)Thedurationofthedayallowstosetthedurationofthelightperiod.Thesettingismadeinthesamewayyousetthecurrenttime(seesection3.1).Theiconshaveexactlythesamemeaning.

c)PressingtheDEMObuttonstartsacycleSUNRISE-SUNSETlastingabout5minutes.ThebuttonwillflashtoindicatetheDEMOmode.

e)IntheNightSetupitispossibletosettheintensityofthelightduringthenightanditscolor(WHITEorBLUE).Thesettingsaremadewiththesamelogicaspreviouslyused,theonlydifference

is the presence of the icons that allow to choose the color of the

lightduringthenightcycle.

f)pressingtheicon you will have access to the setup menu of thechannels.

TOVIEWACTUALTIME

Onthedisplay,inlargenumbers,itisvisualizedthecurrenttime.Duringthenight,thedisplayautomaticallyattenuateitsbrightnessthatwillberestoredmomentarilywhen touched.

Onthedisplay,alternatively,willalsoappear,thevaluesofpH,temperature,con-ductivityandORPifthecorrespondingmodulesareconnectedtoit.

Nota:activationofthemenutosetupTemperature,pH,ConductivityandORPwillautomaticallyappearwhentherespecti-vemoduleswillbeconnectedtotheNetwork.

THERMOSTAT

3.3 SETTING THE THERMOSTAT

TheaccesskeytothesettingsofthethermostatisintheMAIN CONTROL PAGE 1 whichisjustthemainpageofyourtouchscreen.

Theiconthatdistinguishesitisthefollowing: pressitandenter

a)TheSETPOINT 1showsthe“ideal”temperatureoftheaquariumwater.Yourcon-trollerwillmanagethemainheatertokeepthe“ideal”temperaturestablewithinarange(hysteresis)editableintheEXPERT MENU. To set the temperature please proceedasdescribedinparagraph3.3.1

b)TheSET POINT 2isthetemperaturerelatedtothe“secondary”heater.Yourcontrollerwillmanagethesecondaryheatertomaintainthistemperaturestablewithinarange(hysteresis)editableintheEXPERT MENU. To set the temperature pleaseproceedasdescribedinparagraph3.3.1

Note:theSETPOINT2canbeset,forexample,todriveasecondheaterthatintervenesincasethemainheaterisnotenou-ghtomaintainthe“ideal”temperature.Commonly,itisusedinfreshwateraquaria,todrivethebottomheatingcable.

3.3.1 SETTING the SET POINT temperature

a)Press“SET 1” icon to enter the menu “THERMOSTAT SET 1” where you can set the “Ideal”temperature(setpoint).

b)Pressthe“SET”iconandusingthe“UP arrow” and “DOWN arrow” set the value of the “ideal” temperature.

c)Pressthe“SET”icontostorethesettings,orpressthe“EXIT”tocancelchangesandreturntothepreviouspage.

d)repeattheoperationfortheSECONDARY HEATER

EXPERT MENU:

Inadditiontothetemperaturesetup,insidetheEXPERT menu you can set the fol-lowingparameters:

-Hysteresis(foreachchannel) -Mode(heaterorchiller) -TemperatureAlarm -RemoteAddressSockets

3.3.2 Set up of Hysteresis 1

a)Pressthe“EXPERT”icon,you’llenterthe“EXPERT CONTROL PAGE”, press “CONFIG” buttonandthenpress“SET” to enter the setup menu

b)Usethe“UP arrow” and “DOWN arrow” to set the hysteresis of the CHANNEL 1 to the desired value.

c)Pressthe“SET”icontostorethesettings,orchoose“EXIT”tocancelchangesandreturntothepreviouspage.

3.3.3 OTHER SETTINGS

b) PressONCE “Right Arrow”, you’ll enter themenu “Hysteresis channel2” where youcanmakethesettingofthehysteresisofChannel2,followingtheproceduredescribedintheprecedingparagraph3.3.2band3.3.2c

Note: The modification of the hysteresis, (the value that represent the delta between the “ideal temperature” and the

“activationtemperature”)isnecessaryinveryfewcases.Asgeneralrulewesuggesttoavoiditsmodification.

c)PressingTWICEthe“Right Arrow”,youwillenterthemenu“Channel1Mode” where youcanactuallysetthemodeofoperationofchannel1whichcanbesetto:

-0(direct) -1(reverse).

d)PressingTHREETIMESthe“Right Arrow”,youwillenterthemenu“Channel2Mode” whereyoucanactuallysetthemodeofoperationofchannel1whichcanbeset to:

-0(direct) -1(reverse).

Note: The reverse mode is usually used to activate a chiller.

e)PushingFOURTIMESthe“Right Arrow”,youwillenterthemenu“ALARM” where youcansettheALARMtemperature.ThealarmwillbesignaledbythedisplayonwhichthetemperaturewillappearinRED.

f)PressFIVETIMESthe“Right Arrow”,youenterthemenu“REMOTE PLUG” where you canassigntheIDoftheremotesocketcontrolledbythetemperature.Instructionsaregivenintheuser’smanualoftheRemoteAC Multiplug.

g)Aftersettingthedesiredvalues,pressthe“SET”tostorethesettings,orpress“EXIT” tocancelchangesandreturntothepreviouspage.

3.3.4 SENSOR CALIBRATION and UNIT SETUP (°C/ °F)

a) From the “EXPERT”menu,press“Maintenance” to enter the probecalibrationmenu.Here youcan “align” thedisplay value, to the valueof thetemperature readonaprecision thermometer placed inwater, closed to thetemperature sensor.

b) Press the “SET” icon and act on the “UP Arrow“ and “Down Arrow” to adjust the displayvalueuntilthereadingswillmatch.

c) Press the “Right Arrow”,you’llenterthemenu“Celsius - Fareneith” fromwhich,through the “Arrow Up” and “Down Arrow” you can select the units as per following:

0=CELSIUS 1=FARENEITH

d)Afterthedesiredvalueshavebeenset,pressthe“SET”icontostorethesettings,orpress the “EXIT”todischargechangesandreturntothepreviouspage.

3.3.5 HISTORY

a)Fromthe“EXPERT” menu press the “HIST”to display the graph of thetemperature stored in the last 25 hours.

Note:Activationofthemenusettingtemperature,pH,ConductivityandORPwillautomaticallyactivatetheconnectionofthe respective modules.

3.4 SETTING THE pH

ThesettingoftheparametersrelatingtothepHissimilartothatoftheparametersrelatingtothetemperatureatwhichwewillrefer:

3.4.1 Setting the pH SETPOINT

The pH SETPOINT is the “ideal”pHvalueoftheaquariumwater.YourcontrollerwillactivatetheCO2solenoidvalve(orthedosingpump)inordertokeepthepHaroundthevaluesetthroughtheSET-POINT,inarange(hysteresis)definedintheEXPERTmenu.

ThesettingofthepH SETPOINTissimilartosettingofthetemperature SETPOINT:

a) Press the “pH” icon to enter the “pH CONTROL PAGE” menu.

b) Press the “pH Set”icon,toenterthepH Setpoint menu in which you can set the “Ideal pH” (set point). Thebuttons have the samemeaningas thosepresentinsettingoftheTEMPERATURE SETPOINT,paragraph3.3.1(SettingTEMPERATURESETPOINT)

EXPERT MENU:

Inside the EXPERTmenuyoucansetthefollowingparameters:

-Hysteresis(foreachchannel) -Mode(pH+/pH-) -PHLevelAlarm -AddressoftheRemoteSockets

3.4.2 SETTING the hysteresis

a) Press the “EXPERT” icon.You’llenterthemenu“EXPERT CONTROL PAGE”. Press “SETUP” to enter the setup menu and press the “SET”

b) Use “UP arrow” or “DOWN arrow” to set the hysteresis value.

c) Press “SET”tostorethesettings,orpress“EXIT”tocancelchangesandreturntothepreviouspage.

Note:Themodificationofthehysteresis,(thevaluethatrepresentthedeltabetweenthe“idealpH”andthe“activationpH”)

isnecessaryinveryfewcases.Asgeneralrulewesuggesttoavoiditsmodification.

3.4.3 OTHER SETTINGSa)Performthestepslistedaboveinparagraph3.4.2a

b) Press ONCE the icon “Right Arrow”, you’ll enter themenu “Channel Mode” where you can actually set the way the Controller will act:

-0(direct=decreasepH) -1(reverse=increasepH).

e)PushingTWICEthe“Right Arrow”,youwillenterthemenu“ALARM” where you cansettheALARMpH.ThealarmwillbesignaledbythedisplayonwhichthepHwillappearinRED.

f)PressTHREETIMESthe“Right Arrow”,youenterthemenu“REMOTE PLUG” where youcanassigntheIDoftheremotesocketcontrolledbythepH.Instructionsaregivenintheuser’smanualoftheRemoteAC Multiplug.

g)After setting thedesiredvalues,press the“SET” to store the settings,orpress“EXIT”tocancelchangesandreturntothepreviouspage.

3.3.4 PROBE CALIBRATION

Preparethecalibrationsolutionsintwoseparatecontainers.BesurethatthequantityisenoughinordertoimmersetheendpartofthepHprobeintothesolutions.

a) From the “EXPERT”,pressthe“Maintenance”icon , you’ll enter the “pH Calibration Page”.

b)OncetheprobeisimmersedinthepH4calibrationsolution,pressthe“pH4” iconandwaituntilthenumberthatappearsonthedisplaywillstabilize.

c) A further press of the “pH4”icon,willstorethevalueandwilltaketothenextstep.

d)RemovetheprobefromthesolutionatpH4andclean itcarefully inpurifiedwater(youcanalsousereverseosmosiswater)andthendrywithasoftcloth(preferablynotrub).

e)immersetheprobeinthesolutionatpH7andwaitforthenumberthatappearsonthedisplaytostabilize.Whenthevalueisstable,pressthe“pH7” to store the obtainedvalueandterminatethecalibrationprocedure.

Theprobeisnowcalibratedandreadytobeused.Itissuggestedtorepeattheprocedureevery2-3weeks.Inconjunctionwiththecalibrationprocedureissug-gestedtocleantheprobewiththeappropriatesolutionElos CLEAN.

3.3.5 HISTORY

a)Fromthe“EXPERT” menu press the “HIST”to displaythegraphofthepHstored in the last 25 hours.

Note:Activationofthemenusettingtemperature,pH,ConductivityandORPwillautomaticallyactivatetheconnectionof the respective modules.

Conductivity3.5 SETTING PARAMETERS

ThesettingoftheparametersrelatingtotheconductivityissimilartothatoftheparametersrelatingtothetemperatureorthepHtowhichreferencewillbemade:

theicontoaccesstothesettingsoftheconductivity isintheMAIN CONTROL PAGE 2,pressitandyouwillentertheCONDUCTIVITY CONTROL PAGE whereyouwillfindthefollowingicons:

3.5.1 Setting the conductivity SETPOINT

The SETPOINTvaluerepresentsthe“ideal”conductivityoftheaquarium’swa-ter.YourcontrollerwillactivatethedosingpumpsoastomaintainthevalueofconductivityaroundthevalueofdefinedbytheSET-POINT,inarange(hysteresis)editableintheEXPERT menu.

TheproceduretosettheconductivitySETPOINTissimilartoprocedurealreadyseenforthetemperatureand/orthepH:

a)Pressingthe“mS”iconandyou’llenterthe“Conductivity CONTROL PAGE”

b) Press the “Set” icon,you’llenter the“Conductivity Setpoint” menu where you can set the “ideal conductivity”(setpoint).TheiconshavethesamemeaningasthosepresentinthetemperatureSETPOINTsetting,paragraph3.3.1(SettingtheTEMPERATURESETPOINT)

d)Aftersettingthedesiredvalues,pressthe“SET”icontostorethesettings,orpressthe “EXIT”icontocancelchangesandreturntothepreviouspage.

3.5.2 PROBE CALIBRATION

Preparethecalibrationsolution(50mSor500us)pouringanappropriateamountinaseparatecontainersoyoucancompletelyimmersetheringoftheprobe

a) From the “EXPERT”menù,pressthe“Maintenance” icon to enter the probecalibrationmenù“Conductivity Calibration Page”.

b)Aftertheprobehavebeenimmersedinthecalibrationliquid,pressthe“cal” iconandwaitforthenumberthatappearsonthedisplaytostabilizeclosetothereferencevalue(50mSor500us).

c)Afurtherpressingofthe“CSL”icon,willstorethevalueandwilltaketothenextstep.

d)Removetheprobefromthesolutionandcleaninpurifiedwater(youcanalsousereverseosmosiswater)andthendrywithasoftcloth(preferablydonotrub).

Theprobeisnowcalibratedandreadytobeused.Beforethecalibrationproce-dureissuggestedtocleantheprobewiththeappropriatesolutionElosCLEAN.

3.3.5 HISTORY

a)Fromthe“EXPERT” menu press the “HIST”to display thegraphof theConductivity stored in the last 25 hours.

3.3 FIRMWARE UPDATE

Thenewfirmwarewillbemadeavailablefordownloadonthewebsite

Youwillneedtodownloadthefollowingfiles:

1)E-LinkInterfaceDrivers2)Firmware(********.bin)3)ProgrammingSoftware(Setup.exeDisplayManager.msi+)

Oncedownloadedthefiles,proceedasindicatedbelow:

STEP 1: How to install the drivers and program

a.OncetheE-Linkinterfaceisconnectedtoyourcomputerforthefirsttime,youwill be prompted to select/install the Drivers. Install the driver following thedirections on the screen.

b. Install the“ProgrammingSoftware”by launching“Setup.exe”and follow thedirections on the screen.

At this point you can proceed with the upgrade by following the steps listed below:

STEP 2: update firmware

a. remove the power supply to the timer and to the components connected to it.Youcannowdisconnectyourtouchscreenfromthenetwork.b. connect the touch screen to the programming interface E-Link (already

connectedtoyourcomputer)usingthesuppliedcable(four-polesphonetype)c. ONLY AT THIS POINT connect the power supply to the interface.

d. on your touch screen press the “PC-COM” icon located inside the GeneralSetupMenù(Section3.1).YoucannowstarttheELOS DISPLAY STUDIO programonyourPC.

f.withinthedrop-down-menù,fromthe“Communication”menuselectthecorrectcommunicationport(COMxx).

g. within the drop-down-menù, from the “Software Upgrade”menu select thecorrectthefirmwarejustdownloaded

h. the upgrade will start automatically. To confirm this, the byte counter willadvance.Onceloadedthenewfirmware,disconnectthepowersupplyeandONLYATTHISPOINT,theTouchScreencanbedisconnectedandreconnectedto your system.

WARRANTY

Thedevice iscoveredbyawarrantyoftwoyearsfromfailuresduetofaultycon-struction.Thewarrantydoesnotcoverdamagecausedbyimproperuse.Do not open the unit in order to avoid expiration of the warranty.

IMPORTANT

DO NOT DISCONNECT / CONNECT YOUR DISPLAY FOR ANY REASON WITHOUT FIRST DISCONNECTING THE MAIN POWER.
