    Kavacha

    KavachaistheimageryshieldtobecreatedfortheprotectionoftheSadhakaduringSadhana.Itisveryimportantbecause,theSadhakaloseshisconscioussenseofawarenessashetransgressintomeditativestateoralteredstateofawareness.Duringsuchastatehestandsvulnerableandexposedtoabnormalfrequenciesandvibrations.TheperformingofKavachaprotectstheSadhakafromsuchvibrations.TheKavachainawaycreatehyponticlayerofselfconfidenceandkeephimcomfortable.

    Rishi

    RishiisthepersonwhooriginallyformulatedtheMantra.Invedicculture,Rishiisbelievedastheseer,avisualizerofMantra.TheprerequisiteofnamingtheRishiofthemantrabeforeusingthesameisahumblewayofshowinggratitudeandacknowledgement.Thisactofacknowledgementisthefirststeptowardsdissolutionofpersonalprideandego.ThefeelingofgratitudeinitiatesthealteredstateofmindleadingtointernalenvironmentcongenialtoinvocationoftheDevata

    DevataoftheMantraistheformofthegodwhoisbeingpropitiated.Thedevetaelementengagesthevisualizingfacultyofhumanmind.EveryDevatahasitsownShape,Colour,Posture,Gesture,Mudra,Ayudha,andpersonality.TheprecedingstepsofRishiandChhandapreparesthegroundforeffectivevisualizationoftheDevata.TheinitialutterranceofnameoftheDevatacreatesflashesofthevisions.ItsfrequentrepetitionenablesadevoteetocontemplateupontheformoftheDevata.Ultimately,heforgetshisownselfandgetsunifiedwiththeformoftheDevata.

    Chhandas

    Chhandasdenotestothegrammaticalformationofwordsinaparticularrhythm.Thechhandasetsthepatternofwordsandnumberofsyllables.TheformationguidestherecitationoftheMantrainaparticularway.Thepatternactivatesdifferentpointsinhumanbrainandfurtheraugmenttheinternalpsychicenvironment.Eachchhandahasitsownattributestoinfluencethemoodofthepersonrecitingit.
