What is an apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a structured training

programme lasting at least 12 months.

Apprentices work for an employer, receiving

on-the-job training while earning money at

the same time. In return, employers can

develop home-grown talent in the form of

employees who understand their business

and have received training relevant to their

role.

pay, annual leave and rest periods are

support throughout the apprenticeship.
