Some people think The Arts are just Art but they are actually not! We interviewed some Year 3’s to see what they think they are...
Israel: pictures! Jemima: martial arts?
They were surprised when we told them that the arts were actually other things too like art, drama, DT, cooking, creative writing, dance and music.
We asked some people about their music lessons and how they like them...
Natasha T Y5: I play flute. My teacher is Mr Thorne. I really enjoy it!!
Sophie C Y5: I play guitar with Mr Davies and the lessons are awesome ☺♫
Eloise F Y4: The piano is my favourite thing to play and my piano teacher is lovely too ♪
Annabel W Y6: I have guitar lessons and I really enjoy them ♫☺
We interviewed people about cookery: Scarlett J Y5: You make food and eat loads!
Elodie J Y3: You eat yummy food.
Emilia H Y6: Mrs Duff is my fave teacher and she makes delish food!
Amelie W Y4: You make and eat food, can it get any better??? LOL! Cookery club is another awesome club that you can join so start signing up if you want more food!!!
Here at The Manor we love Drama!!!
Drama Club is very popular. We do it and it's awesome!
Scarlett M: I love Drama Club - you get to act and it is a great community. Sophie H: All of us fit together as one. It has made me more confident and is so much fun!
We also have weekly drama lessons so everyone can get involved☺☺☺

Art is great and it's even better when you have a lovely Art teacher like Mrs Side.
Farrah Y5: It’s super exciting and we get to use our amazing imaginations!
Tilly Y5: It is very fun and you get to do whatever you want!
Not literally anything you want... it has to be to do with the topic you are doing at the
moment!
We interviewed Mrs Side and this is what she said:
I love teaching. I used to be a Year 5 and 6 teacher and I realised that I just wanted
to teach Art because I am an artist! So I retrained as an Art teacher.
In my own Art I like to draw. I draw portraits and nature; in particular I draw starling murmurations. I like to look at Art that has lots and lots of detail. Durer is my
favourite artist - both his drawings of people and animals are amazing.
These are some examples of Mrs Side’s work...
Mrs Side’s next exhibition is in Art Weeks in May.
