2012 Strategic Master PlanOne of the Five Main Goals
Over the next 3-7 years have a capital campaign and/or a bond proposal to expand and modernize where needed, including second floor bathroom in the main branch.
Strategies Identified :• Prepare and asset inventory• Develop a plan for capital improvements

The First Stephas been successfully completed.
Develop a Master Space Plan that will allow the library to support the community needs for the next 20-25 years by providing a public center for information, programs, books, media, study and collaboration spaces.
Develop a Master Space Plan that addresses the physical deficiencies of the existing building: aged HVAC system, safety concerns, and lack of accessibility.
Develop a Master Space Plan that preserves and enhances the historic character of Carnegie Library which contributes to the historic character of downtown of Manistee that residents and visitors value.
Develop a Project Cost Model for implementation of the plan that gives realistic guidance for the amount of private and public funds that will be needed to support the renewal and renovation of the library.
