Changes have been made to how patients access weekend after hours care for the south Waikato which includes Mangakino Health Services. The after-hours Duty Dr is now based at the ‘GP FAST TRACK CLINIC’ based at the Main Entrance of the Tokoroa Hospital. SATURDAY ONLY: HOURS ARE FROM 10AM - 4PM, no appointment necessary. Sunday after-hours are covered by Tokoroa Hospital Emergency Department. Patients registered at Mangakino Health Services can phone 07 882 8299 to speak to a triage nurse out of usual hours. Our 14 dairy and dairy support farms are located 54kms North of Taupo/100kms South of Hamilton in Mangakino. We are currently seeking a progressive 2IC to help manage the following dairy platform commencing early January 2016

300 effective hectares with 180 hectares of centre pivot irrigation, 950 cows (402,000kgMS). This property offers a 54 bale rotary in its second season with in-shed feeding, ACR’s and integrated drafting system.

We are looking for applicants with outstanding animal husbandry and pasture management skills, previous experience supervising staff, the ability to utilise new technology and excellent communication skills both written and oral. A competitive remuneration package, access to training and professional development and career progression opportunities are on offer to the ‘right’ applicant which includes a tidy 3 bedroom house with double garage.
