    Thursday 1st AugustWhat can an English poet and an Indian scripturehave in common? Ian Mason will share his enthusi-asm for Shakespeare's poetry and the teachings ofthe Gita and attempt to show that they both containa valid philosophic message for the modern age.

    We appear to be in the midst of a fundamentalchange of culture which is altering our perception ofmen and women. Are there any other perspectives

    which could be considered in helping to inform the way ahead? LauraHyde will explore this question and related issues.

    Richard Ibbett will discuss Wren’s intriguing remarkand how the elements of architectural design whichcontribute to this aspiration were applied in the makingof the ‘New Hall’ at Waterperry House, Oxfordshire, acontemporary artistic work combining architecture,fresco painting and sculpture, to create a unique spaceat the heart of this beautiful listed building.
