Institutional Governance/ faculty
Performance
: A Class committee is constituted with a
faculty member as a chairperson who is
not handling the particular class. The
Principal is also a part of the class
committee. The chairperson is given the
responsibility of coordinating the
meeting and ensuring that the students
provide free and fair feedback.
A proforma consisting of important
parameters pertaining to teaching
learning process has been designed for
the purpose of collecting students’
feedback.
The responses after the Electronic Data
Processing are analyzed by the HoDs and
the Principal. The feedback is
communicated to the faculty members
concerned wherever necessary, for their
improvement.
Students’ feedback on value added
programme conducted (for example
guest lectures, seminars, employability
camp, etc.) is obtained at the end of the
programme by distributing questionnaire
on the event.
The inputs are communicated to the
faculty members through HoD by the
Principal for suitable improvements. The
inference is discussed with the faculty
members during the annual faculty
appraisal.

challenge 2017 held on 15th
September 2017 for their project
“Hand hygiene compliance and in-patient security using
IOT” to enhance the hygiene in hospitals and also provide
improved security in hospitals through face recognition
sensors. They were awarded with a cash prize of Rs.20,
000/-. This challenge was conducted by Buoyanci in
association with NASSCOM.

Sindhu has received Second Prize in the National
Level IoT Innovation challenge 2017 held on 15th

September 2017 for their project “Hand hygiene
compliance and in-patient security using IOT” to
enhance the hygiene in hospitals and also provide
improved security in hospitals through face
recognition sensors. They were awarded with a
cash prize of Rs.20, 000/-. This challenge was
conducted by Buoyanci in association with
Nasscom.
Ms. Sarika (2017 batch), Keerthika (2018 batch)
and Ramya (2019 batch) have received the Shri
Dewang Mehta Excellence Awards sponsored by
NASSCOM for their excellence in academics.

Counseling Mentoring
Career Counseling : Faculty member act as counselors /
mentors to small groups of students to
guide them in their curricular/co-
curricular activities and in their
personal advancement as well.
Students are motivated to opt for
higher studies and take up
competitive exams like GRE, GATE,
IAS exams. Special coaching classes
for the above exams are conducted in
the campus for the interested and
eligible students by the training and
development cell of the institution.

19 Students Activity Body
Cultural activities : The fine arts club is conducting
functions in the college.
Regular competitions for cultural
activities like dance, skit, mime,
singing, quiz, adzap, painting,
photography and others are
conducted. Students are encouraged
to take part in intercollegiate cultural
festivals and TV programs. Sai
carnival is the regular cultural fiesta
of the institution.
Sports activities : The department of Physical
Educations encourages regular
practice of sports activities. Separate
bus facilities are provided for day
scholars for after college hours
practice sessions. Our college has been
achieving accolades in Anna
University Zone IV sports meeting, by
holding the number one position
consecutively seven times which is a
record.
The regular sports features include
annual sports meet, Sairam Trophy
apart from enabling students to
participate in intercollegiate and
invitation tournaments. Our
institution has hosted TIES in the
academic year 2014-2015.
Literary activities : Literary Club is functioning in the
college. Competitions like elocution,
debate, etc., are conducted regularly.
Students are motivated to participate
in literary activities held in other
colleges and media. The students are
encouraged to study different
languages through the foreign
languages club.
Magazine/ Newsletter : Annual College magazine called
MAGSAI is released. Half yearly
newsletter “Campus News” is released
by the college. Apart from this, a few
departments release their
departmental newsletter to highlight
their activities and achievement.

Alumni activities : The Alumni Association/Chapters
(registered and functional)contributes
significantly to the development of the

The Alumni Association was formed
in the year 2007, with the title “Sri Sai
Ram Engineering College Alumni
Association” (Reg. No: 220/2007). The
Alumni forms the major strength of
the institution. The alumni meet is
conducted once in a year, where the
alumni from different branches of the
under graduate and post graduate
programs will join and share their
views and give suggestions for
betterment. This will be hosted by the
management generously. The Alumni
will be provided with mementos. This
meeting will be mutually beneficial for
the institution and as well as for the
alumni to get an opportunity to meet
with their friends and the faculty to
share knowledge and insights.
The alumni visit the institution for
providing Guest lectures and
seminars for the students in their
areas of expertise and motivate the
young minds. The successful
entrepreneurs from our alumni are
invited to talk on their success stories
and motivate on students.

The alumni help the final year
students of the various streams of
engineering, business administration
and computer applications to get their
project placements and summer
internship in their companies or to
assist them through their reference.
They also assist the students to get
placement in the corporate. The
alumni association and the regular
meetings pave the way for the
successful placements of the students.
The institution signs Memorandum of
Understanding with organizations
that are owned by the alumni and
have frequent interactions with the
corporate world. This helps us in
keeping in touch with the current
affairs in the corporate scenario.
