3.7 ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Abiding by the rules and regulations brought by concerned authorities, admission of
students in our college is strictly based on the directive given by the Government and the
University. 50% of the sanctioned intake of 100, ie 50 students are admitted on
Government allotment of merit quota seats which includes the stipulated reservation
candidates. The rest 50%, ie 50 students are admitted on management quota, who possess
the minimum qualification stipulated by the authorities.
3.8 FEE STRUCTURE
The Kerala Government regulations stipulates that the Fee for one year B.Ed. Degree
course in the self- financing colleges of Education is Rs.22500/- per candidate and it also
directs to collect a caution Deposit amount of Rs.5000/- per student. The fee rate is same
for both the merit and management quota students.

Arrangements made for practice teaching
The student- teachers who are to undergo internship practice teaching for 30 working
days, are send to 17 of our designated practicing schools, whose list is provided below,
prior to this, the procedure of student-teacher evaluation along with a scientifically
prepared evaluation proforma intended to the supervising teachers in the school to
evaluate each student- teachers, as well as all the requirements to be fulfilled in the
school during practice teaching are send to all the schools in the list. All the concerned
college Faculty are to observe a minimum of 3 lessons of every student -teacher. The
Principal observes one lesson each of all the120 students, irrespective of their subject
specialization. Students are also directed to actively involved in all the Curricular, Extra
and Co-curricular activities in the school during the period of their internship. Peer
observations of the classes are also done. The final assessment of every student teacher
is based on the evaluation by the Faculty, the Principal Supervising Teachers in the
school, Peer assessment and Self assessment.
