“THERE ARE ONLY TWO LASTING BEQUESTS WE CAN HOPE TO
GIVE OUR CHILDREN. ONE IS ROOTS; THE OTHER, WINGS.”
Hodding Carter, American Statesman and thought-leader.
It was the early 1980s. Convinced of the necessity of a global-class,
affordable education system, which is based on excellence, ethical
and moral values so that students can unfold into competent and
responsible individuals; Dr. M.K. Kamaluddin, renowned
philanthropist and educationist, initiated two institutions.
The NIMS Group of Educational Institutions in the Middle East and
the Manarul Huda Trust of Educational Institutions in India.
A staunch believer of the concept of equality of opportunities
and a man of broad sympathies, he envisioned an affordable
education system which is of global class in terms of excellence,
quality and facilities.
The vision of Dr. M. K. Kamaluddin turns into a daily experience, at
The Oxford School, Calicut.
THE FOUNDER’S VISION
CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGEA hearty welcome to The Oxford School experience! Education is not just about
the past and the present. It’s the powerful tool, which equips students to
successfully deal with the evolving challenges of the present and the future.

its development, scientific and technological evolution, the growth of economies,
the creation of opportunities spring from one single source – education.
At the Oxford School, Calicut, we understand this deeply. That’s why our school
environment perceives students as the inclusive and core participants in the
learning process. We encourage their active engagement and help develop an
attitude in them, which makes them a responsible being, as a learner.

PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGEDear Parents,
Greetings!
Welcome to The Oxford School, a school where children get opportunities to think and
explore limitless possibilities The vast infrastructure of the school supports children in
their variegated learning styles. We are determined to make our students learn all skills
which empower them to meet the challenges of life.
Our curriculum emphasises rigorously on the inculcation of knowledge by every child, at
their own pace. We allow kids to assess their own performance in terms of process and
product of learning in the course of time. Apart from training of mind, children are
encouraged to learn different skills which empower them to have a flair of professional
experiences through co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. We provide support in
learning Drama, Music, Fine Arts, Dance and Pottery as part of regular curriculum during
regular school hours. Field Trips and Excursions are the part of academic programs and
students learn a lot from these opportunities from time to time.
The future world demands life skills. Provision for learning life skills, personality
development training and value-based education is embedded in day to day curriculum.
We provide laptop to every child from Grade 4 onwards so that accessing learning and
exploring new concepts comes at ease to every child. We also involve parents in the
learning journey of their children through different activities.
The curriculum supports child-centric learning, facilitated by skilled professionals. Parents get
an opportunity to meet teachers during PTM almost every month. Parents are oriented
once/twice in a year where all happenings and planning of the school is shared with them.
Parents can meet teachers on all working Saturdays with prior appointment.
Feel free to contact me on [email protected]. You can also meet me on all working days
with prior information. I once again take the opportunity to welcome you to our school campus.
Wishing all the best!

A NEW LANGUAGE OF LEARNING.FOR YOUR KIDS!Being part of a global chain of educational institutions which provide education from
elementary level to world renowned centres of excellence in professional education,
The Oxford School, Calicut (TOSC) is the youngest in the fold.
TOSC’s academic year begins from March, 2019 for Pre- school till Grade VIIth.
TOSC is committed to turn the vision of its illustrious founder, Dr. M.K. Kamaluddin,
into an everyday experience of our students. That’s why you’ll find the school campus
a carefully designed inspirational platform for learning.
The school campus is creatively designed to kindle curiosity, creativity and the spirit
of innovation; in students. The innovative design, done by the renowned architect,
Girish Doshi, whose works are an engaging fusion of nature and civilisations, sets
the perfect ambience for learning.
TOSC has put in place an effective system and an environment where students
are considered inclusive participants in the learning process. This harmonious
platform transforms the students through:
• Devoted, personalized attention
• Initiating effortless learning through conventional and technology platforms
• Kindling curiosity and the bent to know more
• Equipping with language skills and interactive skills
• Identifying and nurturing innate talents
• Moulding to grow into socially conscious, responsible individuals
REDISCOVERING THE SCHOOL SPACE WITH ARCHITECT GIRISH DOSHIGirish Doshi, the Principal Architect of the Pune based Navakar Architects, is the
famous disciple of Vishnu Joshi. He has been designing living spaces, across India,
for 30 years. He is an exponent of the 'Art of Ferrogami' and concrete block
concepts. He is equally passionate about teaching.
THE TOSC DIFFERENCETOSC has a thoughtfully designed curriculum, which helps promote the
all-round development of students. The care doesn’t stop here. The learning
process is absolutely child-centric and child-friendly.
From pre-KG till Grade II, the method is Home Room Teaching, in which a
dedicated teacher teaches all subjects. This friendly method increases
familiarity with the teacher and learning, while reducing stress.
Specially trained, our teachers encourage open-minded thinking in the
classroom sessions, so that the students can develop the capability of critical
thinking, which is essential for future.
Another unique aspect of TOSC is its project-based learning process, in which
students learn every aspect of the particular topic. This enhances the bent for
doing research, analytical capabilities, the inclination to approach topics from
360 degree angle. An attitudinal asset which will help them to become
thought-leaders of future.
Technology-embedded curriculum is the next uniqueness of TOSC. Students
are encouraged to align emerging technologies, right from KG level, with the
learning process. Each student will have laptop. With brave new developments
like AI all set to change the way we experience world, this will give students a
sound basis in leveraging on technologies for personal and career growth.
