Joint Application Development (JAD)
JAD is a method of developing a contract agreement through meetings with discussions to work out the specific objectives of what the company wants the developer to create.
Project Scope
formal documentation of project goals, objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
Scope Creep
occurs when the features or details
of a project grows or changes beyond the original scope of the project.
Change Order
a procedure to set the steps to make necessary additions or changes to the features in the project after the project has been implemented.
Object Code
a sequence of instructions that can only be read by the computer and may or may not be directly executable.
Source Code
computer instructions, with or without comments, written using computer language that is readable by humans.
Technical Verification
a service provided to test source code escrow media to ensure it is readable and complete; to confirm that the files are in fact identical to the files that the developer says are in the deposit; to verify that the source code will in fact convert to object code; and the file will process the same way as the licensed product.
Document
any written, digital, visual or audio record.
Electronic Evidence
any type of information stored electronically that is relevant to specific litigation.
Data Retention Policy
a formal plan that addresses multiple issues such as data management, length of retention time for each type of data, back up and archiving policies and procedures, deletion or purge schedules, plans for handling electronic discovery process.
