Cricketing Lesson- 1
• Do not be dependent on your best (force, brand, strategy or stockist)
• Have your second-line ready
Cricketing Lesson- 2
• Lead from the front– Batting of M S Dhoni
in the final is a classical example of leading from the front
– He could have avoided coming at 4th position to bat and would have instead sent Yuvi but choose to handle the pressure
Cricketing Lesson- 3
• Never say “Impossible”– Yuvraj was struggling
for the form and was even planning retirement before the world cup.
– But, strong self commitment made him eligible for the “Man of the series”
Cricketing Lesson- 4
• Risk and reward go hand-in-hand– Raina in place of
performing Pathan in semi and Srisant in place for R Ashwin in final would have made captain earn criticism but still captain risked to his conviction
Cricketing Lesson- 5
• Plan / Strategize your game – Changing bowlers
constantly so as not allow batsman to set
– Choosing to bat ahead of Yuvi in finals by MSD
Cricketing Lesson- 6
• Give your 100%– Poor fielding of
Pakistan in semi made them loose
– Best batting, bowling and fielding is a single factor to be contributed tom India’s world come victory
Cricketing Lesson- 7
• Be alert and agile– How many Boundaries
prevented by a team was a critical factor
– Stumping– Catches– Follow-through
stopping or catching was determining factor to success
