Management Accountant
The key role in our finance department reporting on the day to day running of the business, responsible for the delivery of all of management reporting for the organisation including live data.

We are looking for a first-rate
management accountant to help run the organisation, including live management information on key
business areas. Will suit Qualified / Part Qualified or QBE accountant with demonstrable experience in an
appropriate field, possible retail, hospitality, leisure.
Prepare, and analyse key financial information, including live management reporting, to ensure
that the organisation's management make well-informed decisions to growth and profitability. Key
business areas a theatre production, restaurant, cinema.
Reporting to p/t Finance Director, manages book keepers and other finance staff

Experience – could have :
Qualified / Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA accountant with 3-4 years suitable experience
QBE accountant with significant experience in either hospitality, leisure or
retail environment.
2-4 years experience as a management
accountant with experience of producing kpi data on a live/daily basis
Experience of managing relationships with others in helping them manage and present their financial performance
Skills – should have -
Significant skills and working understanding of current Sage Accounts packages gained from operating in this
environment
First rate and demonstrable Microsoft Office skills especially advance Excel.

responsibilities
management accounts
Design and preparation of live management data, combining data from sales outlets, box offices, and
restaurant to provide live information on KPIs relating to headline sales figures, gp on food, workforce costs, key
bottom lines.
Preparation of regular management
accounts for analysis and presentation by the leadership team and board.
Management of a project managing costing system tracking inputs and live budgets Preparation of all return
relating to tax, vat, in conjunction with external auditors / accountants
Management of Sage inputting and management of system, inputting data directly as well as managing book
keepers / others entering data.
payroll
Preparation of payroll for staff, actors, freelance for processing by payroll agency or direct payment.
budget management
Working with Finance Director, preparation
of annual and project budgets for all departments. Forecasting and cash flow projection. Assist the Finance Director in
making recommendation to achieve efficiencies and cost control. Help department heads to better understand,
analyse ad manage their budgets.
restaurant
Working with Restaurant Manager and
Executive Chef, assisting the team to manage food and beverage input costs, staff costs and daily cash management and
reporting functions. Management of data input staff / catering accountancy staff as required.
sales and purchase ledger
Manage the extensive purchase and (limited) sales ledger, procurement policies and cash / gateway reconciliation
audit trail
Manage trial balances, bank reconciliation and all other routine management of Sage
to ensure accurate and reconciled account reporting.
general
Complying with all company governance and policies to avoid risk and minimize company liability.
Work as a member of the core event management team, taking part in managing
events.
This is a full-time, permanent contract.

manages book keepers and other finance staff as required.
Salary £32,500 per annum, pension
40 hours per week
