Manage Files Interface This document explains about how HTML files of
an app can be modified and its various options.

About Manage Files
This interface allows modifying and uploading the html, CSS and image files and web
templates of various project, application group and app specific. Most of these files are stored
and generated by WKA Studio and can be modified based on requirement.

1. Understanding Manage Files Interface The following screen shot shows the default screen of Manage Files. Go to Main Menu ->
System and App Setup -> Manage Files.

The following table explains the fields of Manage files.
Field Description
Application Groups Shows application groups
Files in selected project
system/application
group(s) folders
Shows files in selected project system/application
group(s) folders.
Is system file(s)? Shows project system files.
2. Viewing List of Files To view the list of files in application(s) select the respective application groups (Example:
WineInfo and MathAppGrp) and all files present in WineInfo and MathAppGrp folders are
shown in the field.

2.1 Viewing System Files This option shows list of system files used while creating the application. To view system
files, check the option Is system file(s)?

3. Downloading a File To download a file, select the respective file of particular application group (MathAppGrp)
and click Download File. A popup is displayed, select the required options (Open with, Save
File) and click OK. The selected file is downloaded on client machine.

4. Deleting a File To delete a file which is selected from the list of files on server, click Delete File. The files
which are deleted cannot be added back but some html files can be created through create
web pages (Refer Create Web Pages from Expert System Interface Document).
To delete a file:
1. Select the required file of particular application group (MathAppGrp) and click Delete
File.

2. A popup is displayed; click Ok to delete the selected file.

3. After clicking Ok, the selected file is deleted and a message is displayed as shown
below.

4.1 Deleting File(s) with a Prefix This option deletes files prefixed with the prefix entered in textbox from server. This is
required when specific app web-pages to be deleted as they are prefixed with app name.
To delete the files:
1. Enter the desired prefix of the files to be deleted in prefixed with:
textbox and click Delete File(s).

2. Click Ok to delete the files prefixed with MathApp_MathVarGrp_Number.

3. After clicking Ok, the files with a prefix which is mentioned in prefixed with
textbox are deleted and a message is displayed as shown below.

5. Editing a File This option allows editing the files in order to change the view in html or in css file.
To edit a file:
1. Select the required file of particular application group (FruitAppGrp) which needs to
be edited; click Edit File and an editor is displayed as shown in screen shot below.

2. Edit the file as per requirement and after editing click Save File to save the
changes.

3. After clicking Save File, a message is displayed as shown in screen shot below.

6. Understanding Copy Project Templates This button when clicked allows copying generic template files from project folder to
application group folder. Create generic template option in Create App interface uses these
templates to create web pages instead of templates in project folder.
1. Select the required application group whose template files are to be copied
(Example: HandAnalysis).

2. After selecting the required application group, alert message is displayed.

3. Click OK to continue and the following message is displayed which shows that the
templates are copied (only modified files are copied).

7. Understanding Coping platform system files This button when clicked allows copying all modified files from standard project system files
into system files of current project. This may be required in case the platform’s standard
project files are modified or added. When new project is created, it automatically copies latest
files.
1. Select the required application group whose files are to be copied (Example:
FruitAppGrp).

2. After selecting the required application group, a popup is displayed.

3. Click OK to continue and the following message is displayed which shows that none
of the files are copied since the files are already present in the selected application
group.

8. Uploading Files to App Group This allows uploading/overwriting the html/css file(s) on client machine to the server (in
selected application group directory, the file with similar name must exist on server). Upload
File(s) just overwrites the existing file with the modified file and the file to be uploaded or
overwritten must be present in the list. No new file is allowed to update on the server.
1. Select the required application group (FruitAppGrp) from the list and click Upload
File(s) to upload the file in selected Application Groups folders. After clicking
Upload File(s), a screen is displayed as shown below.

2. To select the file, click Browse and select the required file from File Upload screen
displayed (the selected file must have similar name as the file in the list and must exist
on server) and click Open.

3. After clicking Open, the selected file name is added in the Browse field. Check Is
Overwrite Existing File? option since the modified file overwrites only the respective
file which exists in the list.

4. To upload the file, click Upload File and a message is displayed as shown below.

9. Uploading Images to App Group This allows uploading/overwriting image file(s) on client machine to the server (in selected
application group directory, the file with similar name must exist on server).
1. Select the application group (FruitAppGrp) from the list and click Upload Image
File(s) to upload the image in selected Application Groups folder. After clicking
Upload Image File(s), a screen is displayed as shown below.

2. To select the image, click Browse and select the required image from File Upload
screen displayed and click Open.

3. After clicking Open, the selected image name gets added in Browse field and the
image name can be edited by entering the required name in Upload File field.

5. To upload the image, click Upload File and a message is displayed as shown below.

6. Go to Main Menu -> System and App Setup -> Create and Manage App, click App
Create Options. The uploaded image name and icon is displayed in the dropdown
menu and in Image Preview section respectively, click refresh button if the image
name is not displayed in dropdown menu.
