Education at the Engineering and Natural Sciences Faculty of the Maltepe University is designed and based on the

specific principles and supported by modern laboratories and equipment. Template and memorization learning are

absolutely avoided. Instead, our engineering education follows a curriculum based on creative and analytical thinking,

improving initiatives, motivating leadership and team work.

Our mission is to educate competent, knowledgeable and

productive high-level engineers who can both contribute

to the global development of science and technology,

produce projects that will accelerate the need for mod-

FACULTY OF ARTS AND SCIENCES

Academicians of our faculty support both their own

students and students of other faculties in becoming

individuals who have the ability to think

critically / analytically. Also support students who can

find solutions to problems, are aware of ethical

principles and apply them caringly; are aware of their

social responsibility of consuming not only the limited

sources of their country but also the ones of the

world, make decisions for themselves and update

themselves continuously.

Competent and up to date education programs.

Students who have satisfactory grade averages have the opportunity to study in two fields through double major

and minor programs.

Relevant master’s degree and doctoral programs are available within the frame of Graduate School of Social

Sciences for the students who want to continue their education.

The students of the faculty are given theoretical training in

the fields of Philosophy, Mathematics, Psychology, Social

Work and Sociology; additionally they gain practice through

active participation and implementations in the research

centers that have been established in our university.

Students are also guided by the faculty members to

establish and join the social clubs such as conferences,

workshops and awareness raising activities, which ensure

that students improve themselves both scientifically and

socially / personally.

Our goal as a Faculty is to educate communication

FACULTY OF ARCHITECTURE


The purpose of education in our faculty is to give

students foundational skills sought in the fields of

today’s architecture, interior architecture and

nautical design. Our goal is to teach students

independent thinking in line with contemporary

developments and to provide knowledge and

technology applicable to practice.

We have a wide number of academicians who are individual experts at their fields of research.

We have dynamic teamwork in which experienced staff are supported with dynamic young fellows.

In comparison to the other institutionalized architectural schools nationwide, especially with our facilities for

education, we have made a notable progress in 13 years.

Increase in the quality of education due to facilities like computer labs, application workshops, model workshops

and material workshops.

Each student has a table and a cupboard in theme of the design studio atmosphere, and this also endorses the

quality of education.

We are gathering our students and experts at our university on Wednesday Seminars.

As a part of the Erasmus Intensive Program we are participating in workshops.

We are contributing to the society with our students by doing projects in the fields of architectural

and urbanism preservation

(Bilateral Agreement) Student and Teaching Staff Exchange with Varna
