Dear MINDS members, The Malaysian Invention and Design Society, the largest body in Malaysia is celebrating 30 years of promoting invention and design since 1987. Historically, MINDS has been encouraging Malaysians to be inventive and creative through the years by providing a platform for inventors to showcase their work at ITEX and creating the opportunities for inventors and investors as well to commercialise their products. Participants at ITEX have undoubtedly gained many achievements and young inventors are also given the opportunity to compete nationally and internationally at this internationally recognised event. Under the leadership of the President, Tan Sri Augustine Ong and the Executive Committee, MINDS has grown from strength to strength over the last 30 years. It offers a plethora of workshops and seminars designed to help budding and veteran inventors in their quest for eureka moments! Apart from ITEX, MINDS has come forward with ACE (Arts and Creativity Exhibition) to encourage Malaysian students to be able to write and draw. The objectives are to encourage creativity, both in writing and in drawing and also to help improve their English Language skills. To commemorate our 30 years of spirit of invention, MINDS is coming out with a coffee table book to illustrate its history and also to highlight our local inventors and their success stories. HAPPY 30TH ANNIVERSARY AND MINDS FOREVER! Chrys
