Costaexcursions has been working hard to create unique experiences for those who like

SHORE EXCURSIONS
Malaga City Tour & Alcazaba on a Segway
We leave Pier One in the Port of Malaga and cross Pier Two enjoying the "Palmeral de
las Sorpresas" towards the Cathedral, located in front of the Plaza del Obispo and one of
the most valuable Renaissance gems of Andalusia. We then pass the Picasso Museum,

the old Palacio de los Condes de Buenavista and one of the two art galleries dedicated
to this artist in his home city.
We then pass through the Plaza de la Merced, observing all the perspectives of the
neoclassical Obelisk that stands in the middle as a tribute to General Torrijos. From here
we can see the home which was the birthplace of Picasso. We continue to the Roman
Amphitheatre, built by César Augusto in the ancient Roman city of Malaca. This buried
gem was discovered in 1951 during the construction of the Palace of Archives and
Libraries. In the middle of this journey through time, we go to the Alcazaba, a palatial
fortification of the Muslim period at the foot of the Monte Gibralfaro. Here we can
enjoy the beautiful views of the Bay of Malaga. Returning to the city, we roll up to the
Plaza de Uncibay which gets its name from the Basque captain Fernando de Uncibay,
who led the conquest of Malaga against the moors under the command of the Catholic
monarchs.
We continue our journey through the Plaza de la Constitución to the famous Calle
Larios, built in the 19th century by the family of the same name and converted today
into the fifth most expensive shopping street in Spain. On our way back to our starting
point, we travel through the wonderful Paseo del Parque that constitutes one of the most
important parks in Europe in terms of tropical flora.
Finally we return to Pier One after travelling through time between an old and a new
Malaga.

Wine & Tapas Bike Tour Malaga
Combine a bike tour of Malaga with the tradition of tapas and wine. Enjoy an historical

by showing you the famous sights of Malaga. There will be a stop at the central market

Olive Oil Tour in Casabermeja
Discover the unique experience of seeing an olive oil mill where you will learn about
the varieties of oils and how they are made. Our driver will collect you from the port of
Malaga where you will begin your approximately 45 minute journey to Olive Oil Mill
located in the Montes de Malaga nature park.
The drive will take you through some beautiful andalusian countryside dotted with
typical white villages and a landscape full of olive, orange, almond and avocado trees.
The 2 hour tour will begin with a breakfast of toast, olive oil, fruit and drinks in the
beautiful renovated old cortijo, or farmhouse. You will walked through the olive groves

Discover Juanito’s grove of ecologic citus production. You will be collected at the Port
of Malaga for the approximately 40 minute drive to the citrus farm. The visit is
incredibly entertaining! You will learn everything you have to know about ecological
production of oranges, the most famous Mediterranean fruit, as well as grapefruits,
lemons and several other fruits. In addition to attaining all of this knowledge, you will
have fun thanks to instructive activities and taste freshly picked fruit. Juanito´s Orange
is a family run farm.
The visit itself will last 45 minutes where you will see, smell, touch and taste all kinds

Mijas Village on Your Own
Spend a half day in the picturesque village of Mijas. Perched in the mountains above
the coast, this charming village is a cluster of whitewashed buildings nesteld into the
mountainside. Mijas offers a glimpse of village life with its narrow cobblestoned streets
and whitewashed buildings.
This is the perfect example of an old Spanish village on the coast that has managed to
retain its old world charm. Visit the Ermita de la Virgen de la Peña, a chapel made of
rock that offers both views of the village and the coast below. Wander through Mijas
with its craft shops and take a famous donkey tour through the village. The Parroquial
Church is located in a park with lovely views of the coast, and on a clear day, you can
see straight across the Mediterranean to Morocco. The Bullring, located just across from
the church, is the only square bullring in Spain.
Those who are fit, can walk up the narrow streets through the neighborhoods to
experience true village life. Take time to sit in a cafe and have a drink, or enjoy one of

Winery Tour with wine tasting and tapas in Ronda
Our driver will collect you from the port of Malaga where you will begin your
approximately hour and a half journey to Finca La Melonera Winery. The drive will
take you through some beautiful andalusian countryside dotted with typical white
villages and a landscape full of olive, orange, almond and avocado trees.
The Ronda area has been known for its wines since Roman times and the tradition of
winemaking continues. There are over 28 wineries in this area. Finca La Melonera is
one of Ronda´s most fascinating wineries. This is an organic winery that revived the
indigineous grapes that were wiped out by phylloexera plague in the late 19th century.
The winery is a contemporary building overlooking the beautiful countryside and the
vineyards. The 2 hour tour of the Winery will begin with a walk through the vineyards
where your guide will explain the task of recuperating the lost grape varieties and
difference of growing conditions on the estate according to different altitudes and soil
conditions.
Visitors will be given a tasting of white wines under a beautiful oak tree in the
vineyard. From there the tour will continue and you will be taken to the barrel room
where the wine making process will be explained. Finally your tour of the winery will
end with a wine tasting accompanied by a selection of tapas.

Winery Tour – Finca Descalzos Viejos in Ronda
Our driver will collect you from the port of Malaga where you will begin your
approximately hour and a half journey to Finca Descalzos Viejos Winery. The drive
will take you through some beautiful andalusian countryside dotted with typical white
villages and a landscape full of olive, orange, almond and avocado trees.
The Ronda area has been known for its wines since Roman times and the tradition of
winemaking continues. There are over 28 wineries in this area. Finca Descalzos Viejos
is one of Ronda´s most beautiful wineries. It is located at the edge of the village of
Ronda with spectacular views of the Tajo gorge. This winery is located in a restored
16th century convent. The barrel room boasts a restored fresco on the wall.
The vineyards cultivate grapes of the cabernet sauvignon, syrah, grenache, merlot and
petit verdot varieties. The 2 hour tour of the Winery will begin with a walk through the

The Wine Museum is located in a lovely old building dating from 1839, known in the
village as “The house of light/electricity” as the first transformers for the supply of
electricity in the town were here. The building was restored in 2004 for the wine
museum where all the Malaga wines are available, as well as wines from other regions

Once a small seaside village, Marbella became an important tourist destination in the
1970´s. The modern part of the city boasts a beautiful sea side promenade with a variety
of cafes and restaurants. On a clear day you can see Gibraltar and Morocco across the
sea. The old quarter of the town center has maintained its old charm and consists of
white washed buildings and narrow cobblestoned streets. The center of the old quarter is
the Plaza de los Naranjos where cafes line this orange tree filled square.Explore the
maze of narrow passages lined with tourist shops, posh boutiques and lovely

Next drive a few minutes away to the famous marina, Puerto Banus. Your drive will

4 x 4 Rangers Safari Lakes Tour
Following collection from the Port of Malaga, you will be driven through the centre of
Malaga and out heading north towards the sunshine valley of the Costa del Sol, where
you will see some of the beautiful, lemon, orange and olive groves. The area has
outstanding scenery with some breath taking vistas.
As we approach the Ardales lakes we pass by the El Chorro gorge where we will stop
and spend time explaining the important history of the gorge and the damn built by
King Alfonso XIII, and the famous walk way known as the Royal Road or, El Caminito
del Rey. Also nearby is the famous railway tunnel used in the filming of Von Ryans
Express.
We will then proceed to travel a short distance to the site of the Bobastro church ruins
built the 9th and 20th century, which is steeped in moorish history. The Church was
carved half way up the mountain out of a single rock. We will continue a short distance
to the stunning Ardales Lakes taking in the breath taking scenery and the lakes with
their perfect china blue colour. The lakes are a magnet for many visitor and are set in
some wonderful surrounding woodland.
You will then have time to dine at the famous El Kiosko lakeside restaurant, and to
walk around the local area and take those all important photo’s! After this you will
travel back to the Port of Malaga.

Ronda is a mountain top city nestled on the dramatic El Tajo Gorge, which separates the

Islamic times when it was an important cultural city. Hemingway described Ronda as
the most romantic town in Spain.
Cross the impressive Puente Nuevo bridge, Ronda´s most famous landmark, which
straddles the deep Gorge and connects the Moorish part of Ronda with the modern part
of the city. Here you can truly appreciate the rugged gorge and the beautiful country
landscape. There are many attractions worth visiting in Ronda. The Arab Baths, built at
the end of the 13th century, are the best preserved in Spain.
The old wall and gate to the city give a unique glimpse into Ronda´s Islamic past. The
Palacio de Mondragon houses the municipal museum and has some spectacular
gardens. It was built and residence of the Moorish King Abomelik and used later as a
residence for King Ferdinand and Queen Isabelle. The city also has some impressive
churches including the Church of the Holy Spirit and the Church of Santa Maria la
Mayor. The Jardines de Cuenca (Cuenca Gardens) should not be missed as they are
located on ledges over the Tajo and offer spectacular views of the countryside and city.
Ronda is said to be the home of modern bullfighting so a visit to its famous bullring
cannot be missed.
The bullring is one of the oldest and most impressive in Spain. There is a museum and
guided audio tour of the bullring.

Visit a Bull and Andalusian Horse breeding farm and Ronda
Have you ever wanted to see a Spanish bull, the ones used in bullfights? We offer you
that opportunity! Set in the beautiful Andalusian countryside, this pastureland is the
setting for breeding the Spanish fighting bull, as well as the elegant Andalusian horse.
Groups have the opportunity to appreciate first-hand the breeding of these typically
Spanish animals.
We offer the visitor the chance to enjoy close up observation of all the stages of the
fighting bull breeding and selection process: the breeding stock cows escorted by the
stallion; the calves born that year, the young bulls; and finally, the bull, the result of
centuries of men's passion for creating the most beautiful creature. Here the bulls are
allowed to roam free in nature.
We also show the breeding of the Andalusian horse where you can observe the mares
with their foals running free in the pastureland. Not to mention the presence of a whole
cast of fauna and flora that surprises everyone who approaches this wonderful sight of
nature.
Visitors will be be guided through the pastureland in one of our vehicles by farm staff.
They will help the Mayoral (cattle caretaker) in one of his daily tasks. After the visit
enjoy a glass of Ronda wine and tapas consisting of Iberico pork products. You will
have the opportunity to ask questions to the professionals who take care of these
amazing animals.
