General Session and Keynote Speakers

COE Welcome and Executive Presentation

Comedian Don McMillan kicks off the COE 2014 Annual PLM Conference and TechniFair with his own brand of humor. Don’s “Technically Funny” introduction will lead into a message from COE President, Keith Horton, and presentations from Dassault Systèmes executives, including Bruno Latchgue, who will share the latest vision,

strategies and contributions Dassault Systèmes are bringing to COE members, including a focus on V6 implementations.

The Tesla Motors Vision: Dassault Tools Drive Success

PAUL LOMANGINO, PHD, ENGINEERING APPLICATIONSTesla Motors

This session will take a look at how Tesla incorporated CATIA, DELMIA, ENOVIA and ICEM into their implementation and how those tools will continue to contribute to Tesla solutions and products. Paul will also walk attendees through a vision for the future – how Tesla is meeting customer needs, exceeding expectations and using Dassault products to get there.

DELMIA V6, Honda Manufacturing’s First Step to PLM

BRENT WELSH, DEPARTMENT MANAGER, NEW MODEL DIVISIONHonda North American Services, LLC

GREGG DENNIS, SENIOR STAFF ENGINEER, NEW MODEL DIVISIONHonda North American Services, LLC

This presentation will focus on Honda North American Services (HNAS) role and new responsibility to support Global New Model Initiatives. Topics to be discussed include the move from DELMIA V5 to DELMIA V6 on the ENOVIA V6 backbone to reduce development time and create a faster market to the customer, focus on current “wins “ we see today as we prepare to go live this spring and the future path towards total PLM.

PLM Forum and V6 Discovery Panel

MODERATORS: ROBERT DERAGISCH (PLM FORUM)KEITH HORTON (V6 DISCOVERY PANEL)

COE will be revealing the results of its year-long experience partnering with Dassault Systèmes to enable 25-30 panelists from COE member companies to gain hands on experience with V6. The panel has created a virtual product design community to virtually create a product. This has been purely experimental and developed in cooperation with DS. COE volunteer panelists have executed assigned project roles such as Project Manager, Design Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer and Technical Publications and summarized their experience to share with COE members. The goal of these panelists has been to virtually design a ‘Nautical Wind Turbine’ making using of DS V6 products of ENOVIA and CATIA. With ENOVIA V6 allowing for such virtual development, the experiment is to demonstrate how a virtual design team can design a new project. The underlying software will be based on CATIA V6 and ENOVIA V6. COE has provided updates on the progress, but will now open the documentation to COE members and begin a second Discovery Panel.

One User: Making a Difference in a Complex Architecture Project

GISELA ATTADIA, INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT MANAGER Aeropuertos Argentina 2000

This session highlights key elements of a large commercial architecture project with planning and

construction spanning some six years. Throughout the review of these issues, you will see a recurrent theme on how One User can make a significant contribution to a project. Learn how a project in the national spotlight is managed through multiple design and build phases. The specific technical issues addressed in this presentation include project re-plan, 3D model implementation, automated baggage handling and collaboration. These issues are all presented in context of One User’s ability to deliver and achieve outstanding results. The session will close with your awareness to project phase deliverables as national headlines.

Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 is a private and government held company responsible for the operations and infrastructure of all major airports in Argentina.
