Making graduation dreams come true
The Cinderella Project helps teens in need realize their dreams for high school graduation. Our program is discreet, and celebrates the diversity and educational achievement of our youth.
High school graduation is a major event in the life of many young ladies. It is an experience they will treasure for a lifetime. The graduation celebration is the climax of the fairy tale, but sadly, attending is not possible for everyone. Imagine if your friend, neighbour or a classmate of someone you know did not feel comfortable attending the graduation celebration simply because they could not afford to dress like their peers. The Cinderella Gown Project works toward making these important graduation dreams to come true. The goal of the Cinderella Project is to promote high school graduation by ensuring that graduation is a magical time for all students, regardless of their social or financial circumstances.
Each year up to 400 volunteers work together to coordinate the generous contributions from citizens and corporations in our community and extend that generosity to our students in need through a Cinderella Gown Event Day. The Cinderella Gown Project has become a spectacular success with more than 2300 young women having been outfitted from head to toe in graduation finery.
Planning is now underway for the 14th annual Cinderella Gown Project Event Day. We are requesting your support to help make even more dreams come true. Financial contributions go toward the purchase of accessories such as shoes, jewelry, handbags, shawls, exceptional dress sizes and event day rentals.
What does your organization receive in return? Your organization will receive the satisfaction of knowing that your gift will make an immediate difference in a young person’s life. Your donation will create a lasting memory for both you and the recipients. Like the Cinderella story, you will always know that you played an important role to make a dream come true for a very deserving teen.
How to donate
A donation of $250.00 enables us to outfit a Cinderella from head to toe, but any donations are greatly appreciated and tax deductible over $25.00.
