Conventions

After researching the

make up in our

‘inspiration’ trailers, I’ve

devised a mood board of

the type of make up we

will be going for; both

‘normal’ and special

effect.

Standard Make Up

I will be the only person in the film wearing ‘everyday’ makeup; Harry as a male does not need any (this will contribute to the realism)

The look I have gone for is very natural, as most teenagers in 2008 wore natural-looking makeup as an every day look

Lavish make-up in the opening scenes would take away from the realistic effect that we are trying to create.

‘Special Effects’ Make Up

Both Harry and I would have special effects makeup in the full film, but for the trailer, I will be the only one seen with special effects make-up on.

I will use fake blood to draw a pentagram (a demonic symbol) on my arm in one shot in the trailer.

In the full film, I would plan on a lot more fake blood and injuries, as well as dark shading under the eyes and the cheekbones and contact lenses to give an overall ‘creepy’ effect to the face

Ancillary Products

We have not decided exactly which of the two products I

will feature in: the magazine cover or the poster, but in

whichever I feature, I will be wearing natural makeup.

I have an idea to edit special effects make up over my

natural look on Photoshop., for example a demonic

pentagram that looks cut onto my face. The picture of me

will probably feature false tears as well.

The other ancillary product will feature Harry, who, as I

stated before, will wear no make up. We are yet to decide

whether he will have special effects make up added in the

post-production process.
