Colour in a few paper plates. Makeeach one a different colour. Thesewill be the rings that you toss.Carefully cut the middle out thepaper plates. You might need anadults help with this. Try folding thepaper plate in half and cutting a slit,then unfold and you can use the slitto cut out the middle. You will havea hollow paper plate now.To make the base grab a cardboardroll if you have one. If not roll upsome paper.      Using another paper plate cut asmall hole in the middle. Thecardboard roll will fit through thishole. Use lots of tape to make ithold together.     You can then decorate the base.

The Game:Now to play ring toss. Place the base on the floor. Stand a certaindistance away from the base. You can mark this with tape.Throw the rings at the base. How many can you land? You can seeby the picture here that none of my rings landed!Try throwing the rings standing closer and standing further awayfrom the base. Which one is harder?

On 5 paper plates draw the ‘naught’ or a zero.On the other 5 plates draw the ‘crosses’.Mark out the board on the floor using something like tape, or ties fromcoats and dressing gowns. The board has 9 spots.

If you have never played before you can search online on how to play.To begin one player has the naughts and the other the crosses. Crosses goes first. Place your cross in a square.Then the player with naughts goes next and places their naught in asquare.The objective of the game is to get 3 of you plates in a row. You can have3 in a line up and down or diagonally. While playing remember to make sure the other player doesn't make 3 ina row. Sometimes you have to place your plate to block them so theydon't win.
