This is the eighth annual study Blooloop has conducted regarding news rides and attractions at theme parks and amusement parks around the world.

While this listing provides an in-depth overview of the rides opening during 2016, it is not exhaustive. Except for a few instances those rides that have relocated from one park to another

have been omitted from this analysis; along with those rides that have been renovated, restored or re-themed (i.e. New Revolution at Magic Mountain or Soarin’ Around the World at Disney’s California Adventure and Epcot). In addition, the vast majority of rides geared towards the very young child along with aquatic attractions have been omitted. The material used to create this report has been obtained through a variety of reliable sources including the ride manufacturers, park operators, architects and designers. Per usual, no rumors or speculation of rides has been included. All information reported below has been well researched and is believed to be accurate at press time.
