Smt M.S.Rekha hailed from a teachers family fully inspired in teaching profession. Father Sri.M.Satyanarayana was in teaching profession for about 35 years and mother Smt.Anantha lakhshmi Satyavathi Devi was also in teaching the young minds for about 35 years. Rekha was born on 30th july 1965 as a second daughter in the family .Under the auspicious guidance of her parents , she has completed her graduation (B.Sc) and also completed her masters degree (M.Sc). Having fully inspired by parents, with a motive to be in a noble profession of teaching completed her B.Ed and also M.Ed. With a holistic attitude Smt. Rekha entered in the teaching profession in 1991. Being one in the teaching faculty of Niveditha Kishore Vihar High School, shown her excellence in curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities since her entry in teaching profession. She is married to Mr.Gurrayya who is also in teaching profession. Rekha was blessed with a daughter Sindhuri who is graduated in Electronics and Communications Engineering. She is presently working as software engineer in Chennai along with her husband Mr. Swaroop Kumar who is Assistant Manager in American Automobile Company Chrysler.

Major Achievements:

� Participated in National Teachers Science Congress which was held at Benaras Hindu University in 2011 and submitted her paper on ‘EFFECT OF CERTAIN METTALLIC CONTAINERS AND MEDICINAL HERB TULASI/SODIUM HYPO CHLORITE 0.5% ON THE MICROBIAL (ESCHARICHIACOLI) POPULATION OF DRINKING WATER’ and it was selected as the one in best top 8 papers . This attracted the international publishing company LAP LANBERT academic publishing GmBh & Co Germany and offered for the publication of this project as a book.

� Participated in 93rd Indian Science Congress and presented a project on ‘Waste Water Management’ which was appreciated by Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam.

� Participated in National Childrens Science Congress and presented a project on

‘RESPONSE OF GREEN GRAM VIGNA RADIATA (L) WILCZEK TO DILUTED SALINE WATER IRRIGATION IN ORGANICALLY MANURED SOIL (POT CULTURE)’ and won Gold Medal at Bhuvaneswar(Orissa).

� Won Best Teacher Award by National Green Corps(NGC), Andhra Pradesh for

the contribution made for the propagation of Environmental Awareness, conducting awareness camps for students, teachers and general public .For the services rendered for the environment as District Coordinator of NGC.

� Received Best Teacher Award by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

� Presenting lessons in Mana TV an Educational Channel organized by Education

Department of Andhra Pradesh . � Participated in many social activities like pulse polio, adolescence education as

state resource person, Adult Education, Road Safety and Pollution.

� As Counselor in Junior Red Cross participated in National Integration Camp in New Delhi, received Appreciation certificate from the governor of Andhra Pradesh for the services in Junior Red Cross.

� Participated in Children’s Film Festival,Hyderabad. � For the best services rendered in creating awareness on river pollution at the tome

of pushkaras of river Godavari, received appreciation certificate from the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

� Services rendered for the removal of Child Labour and bringing the street children

to the schools and received appreciation from the former Chief Minister of A P.

As a member of ‘JANAVIJNANA VEDIKA’ a science organization, rendering services to remove superstitions and developing scientific thinking among the students. Smt. Rekha is doing strenuous job in improving general education standards, bringing the dropouts back to school, creating scientific temper and interest in Science and Technology among the children.
