I am the only person ever to be nominated for an Oscar, Grammy,

Golden Globe, and Nobel Prize!

I was born on January 29,

1954 in Kosciusko, Mississippi.

I am known as “America’s Best Friend” and I

definitely live up to that title.

I will go down in history as one of

the most influential and inspiring

women that have ever lived.

I was sexually abused and molested by friends and

relatives of my mother.

In 2005, I was inducted into the Hall

of Fame for the National Association for the Advancement

of Colored People.

I was the youngest reporter and first African American woman to work at

WTVF-TV in Nashville.

My talk show is viewed on more than

200 television stations and is

shown in over 100 countries around the

world.

My Angel Network has raised over

$80,000,000 for charity programs.

I was the first African

American woman to become a billionaire.
