• Valid for 5 years• Renew by passing a

Pesticide Use Restrictions

• Prohibited pesticides• Limited-use pesticides• Special rules


Negligent Use

• Using pesticides carelessly• Using pesticides for unlabeled purposes• Directing others to use a pesticide contrary

to its label or law• Operating application equipment that is

leaking or which cannot be calibrated


Worker Protection Standard

• Reduce risk of pesticide exposure to employees

• Covers:– Farms– Forests– Greenhouses– Nurseries


Immediate Family

Heed WPS Restrictions• Entry during a pesticide application• Early-entry during a restricted-entry interval

Immediate family includes spouse, children,

parents, brothers, and sisters

but it is required if you have employees

• Employee enters area treated with a pesticide within the past 30 days
