Carol Johnson Poole Clubhouse is a mixed-use building that includes classrooms for professional golf management and turfgrass management students, as wells as a restaurant, bar and fully stocked pro shop for visitors to the course.

6. The Stateview Hotel (B4-C4):Conveniently located on NC State’s Centennial Campus, the StateView hotel features 164 guestrooms and suites, a signature restaurant and bar, fully-equipped business and fitness centers as well as an outdoor pool and reception area. Guests are afforded all the amenities of a luxury hotel right on campus.

2. Hunt Library (C2-C3):Hunt Library is NC State’s award winning library. It was built to provide unique, beautiful and collaborative study spaces for students and researchers. You can reserve study rooms for group projects, find comfy chairs for reading and studying, and quiet spaces for researching and writing. On the first floor, you can see the automated book delivery system that we call the bookBot. A robotic arm retrieves books which are delivered in minutes. The bookBot holds up to 2 million volumes in one-ninth the space of regular shelving, enabling the library to provide study rooms and technology spaces. On the second floor is the Institute for Emerging Issues, which connects North Carolinians across sectors, regions, and perspectives for collaborative work on key emerging issues affecting our state economy. The second floor is also the main entrance to the library leading to nearly 100 bookable study rooms, the game lab, music and media production rooms, maker space, and many more exciting and thought-provoking spaces available to all students. The library is open to the public until 10pm. After 10pm, you need an ID to enter. The library is open 24 hours and during finals it is reserved only for students.

4. Lake Raleigh (A3-C3):Lake Raleigh is open to the public and it is a living laboratory for many NC State departments. There is a disc golf course and running trails along the shores. The 75-acre lake features a fishing pier and boat ramp for non-motorized watercraft such as kayaks and canoes.

5. Alumni Center (B4):The Dorothy and Roy Park Alumni Center is a home-away-from-home for our alumni and a site for many large scale events. NC State alumni support the university and they often stay involved and form a useful network of contacts for NC State students seeking post-graduation employment.

4. Carter Finley StadiumCarter-Finley Stadium is the home of NC State’s football team. Built in 1966, it seats over 55,000 guests. The stadium has earned a reputation as one of the most exciting venues in college football, mainly due to the dedication of Wolfpack fans. Among the most recognizable names in football are players Roman Gabriel, Ted Brown, Torry Holt, Philip Rivers, Mario Williams, and Russell Wilson.

5. PNC ArenaThe PNC Arena is a regional entertainment and sports complex. The arena serves as the venue for many events and is home to the Carolina Hurricanes, Raleigh’s National Hockey League team as well as home court for NC State’s men’s basketball team. NC State basketball began more than 100 years ago, and has produced numerous superstars, including David Thompson, a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, and legendary basketball coach Everett Case. One of the most recognizable figures in NC State Basketball history is Coach Jim Valvano (Jimmy V), whose words still ring clear, “Don’t give up. Don’t ever give up.” Jimmy V was inducted into NC State’s inaugural Hall of Fame class in 2012.
