"Through our partners, we have already reached to key accounts in the enterprise and mid-market segments. To achieve wider market coverage, we will appoint small companies that develop and deploy software products in local markets," informed Sanjay Mehta, CEO, MAIA Intelligence. The company is talking to more than 40 ISVs (to whom it calls OEMs) who have a good market penetration at the local levels and in key industries; e.g. Source Pro in Ahmedabad, PCSoft in Pune, Xenolith in Kolkata, or Infrasoft in Mumbai. Depending on the size of the deals, the ISVs will get 80 percent or more discount on 1Key, according to Mehta. Currently 1Key is priced at Rs 9 lakh for a server license. Maia is setting up a separate division to look after the ISV sales, to be headed by Hiten Rathod and Amit Mehendale. At present Maia is investing heavily in marketing. "We hired Dun & Bradstreet to carry out a marketing exercise reaching to 20,000 channel partners in India and the leads it generated shows a phenomenal market potential. Likewise, we are also supporting the Maia-CIO Power List 2008 project of CIO Decisions magazine which will help us to reach to the entire CIO commnunity in India," Mehta said. Of Maia's Rs 4 crore revenue, 60 percent comes from financial services, 15 percent from manufacturing, and the rest from healthcare and travel. With channel, marketing, and OEM strategies in place, the company's revenue target for 2009 is Rs 24 crore. Recently Maia released 1Key Agile, a new version of its BI suite. It comes with enhancements including its own data ware-housing and OLAP engine. It can connect and synchronize with multiple raw databases and create OLAP database in user desired flavour to give performance on ever growing database sizes. Its new dashboard has facilities such as dial-gauges and flexibility for users to define their own KPI. MAIA readies ISV strategy

Releases new version of 1Key

The indigenous BI suite vendor, MAIA Intelligence has readied a new ISV strategy to expand its market reach.

Depending

on the size of the deals, the ISVs will get 80 percent or more discount on 1Key, according to Mehta.
