Early life Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was

born on October second in Porbandar, India.

Marriage In May 1883, the 13-year-old Mohandas was

married to 14-year-old Kasturbai Makhanji in an arranged child marriage. When Gandhi was 15, the couple's first child was born, but survived only a few days. Gandhi's father, Karamchand Gandhi, had also died earlier that year.

Ideology When he was 15 years old he joined in

the nationalist Hindu movement, where he leaded the campaign for the independence of India from great Britain.

Military tactics He created a new kind of confrontation

known as passive resistance where people make pressure by doing nothing.

Life in jail He spent seven years in total in jail for

his activities in India and South Africa as he thought it was an honor to go to jail for a fair reason.

The solution On 1948, he started a fast to stop this

confrontation, which stopped after five days.

Final days Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was

assassinated twelve days after this event by an Hindu fanatic that opposed to his religious tolerance at New Delhi on 1948.
