Maharaja's College (Govt. Autonomous) NCC Airwing
Annual Report 2015-16
With the motto “Unity & Discipline “NCC has been the propeller in
channelizing the force of the youth population of India since 1948. It is an
organisation which strives to serve as a powerful cohesive force that brings cadets
from across the country and moulds them into exemplary citizens. With the strict
adherence to the motto unity and diversity NCC AIR WING in Maharaja’s College,
Ernakulam was formed in 2010 under 3(k) Air Sqn. NCC, Kochi. With the great
leadership of ANO Fg. Offr. Martin, senior most cadets SUO. Rugma and U.O
Mussain K Muhammed our college has created a space for its boys & girls cadets to
undergo training and enable them to blossom in the true sense towards the all-around
development of their personality.
Camps
It is proud to say that many of our cadets are participating in various national camps.
Previous year U.O Muhsin K attended Ice Sking, Srinagar, Sgt.Vinay Kumar attended
AFA, Sulur and four cadets attended NIC Raipur, NIC Gaya. In this year SUO.
Musaid PP attended AFA, Hyderbad. Alex M. Saji attended RDC at Delhi 2016, Sgt.
Aravind and Sgt. Vani Subramanian attended AIVSC at Jodhpur, Rajasthan and WO.
Greeshma Sudhakaran participated in IGC RDC, Sgt. Vani Subramanian attended
ALC , Kharagpur. Sgt. Keerthi A.A attended SNIC , Andhra Pradesh. And also all of
our cadets attended Unit Conducted camps like ATC N.Paravoor, Piravom and
Poothotta. These camps not only take the cadets to various places in the country but
also expose them to tough training, discipline and adventurous life in the camp and in
the process they meet cadets from all over the country.
Training
In this academic year, a total of 18 parades for second and third years and 15
parades were conducted for first years. The parade sessions were fulfilling under the
supervision of the PI staffs and Commanding Officer Wg. Cmdr. Ganesh Narayanan,
3 (K) Air Sqn NCC.
Other activities
International Yoga Day
On the first International Yoga Day among the 9.5 lakhs NCC cadets who
performed yoga at various centers, our cadets also joined for the same.
Civil Service orientation
Under the banner of NCC Air wing a Civil Service orientation class was conducted.
Swatch Bharat mission
A series of cleaning under Swatch Bharat mission was conducted.

Achievements of Cadets
It's a matter of pride to say a cadet/Sgt. Sumeet Babu from our college is
recruited in Indian Navy as a sailor. Surely it'll be an inspiring achievement for those
who are ambitious about that.

Officer Training Academy Kamptee. Csgt Preethy B attended NIC at
uththarakhand. Cdt William Paul Cdt Rinshad MS Cdt Vijay M Cdt Daniel Nelson
Cdt Vishnu Shaji Cdt Roshni R Ramraj Cdt Aiswarya A (7 cadets) attended All
India Vayu Sainik Camp 2017 (AIVSC) at Jodhpur Rajasthan. Cdt Bushra Babu,
Cdt Rose Mary Siby & Cdt Jestin Johny attended RDC Delhi. Cdt Shilpa Sajeev
attended NIC at siligudi,. Cdt Sajna CS and Cdt Ananthu R participated in IGC
RDC and also all our cadets attended Unit conducted camps like CATC
Thalakkode. These camps not only take the cadets to various places in the country
but also expose them to tough training, discipline and adventurous life in the camp
and in the process they meet cadets from all over the country.

position in
Contigent Drill competition conducted at District Collectorate Kakkanad
Training
In this academic year, a total of 18 parades for second and third years and 15
parades were conducted for first years. The parade sessions were fulfilling under the
supervision of the PI staffs and Commanding Officer Wg Cdr Ganesh Narayanan, 3
(KER) Air Sqn NCC and after His Transfer it was taken over by Wg Cdr NS Pawar,
3(KER) Air sqn NCC.
Independence Day and Republic Day were celebrated at College , NCC Army, Navy
and Air wing together. College Principal hosted the flag followed by contigent drill
and Cultural programmes from each wing.

In “SASTHRAYAN” the whole college Exhibition conducted at Maharajas College,
Air wing NCC Maharajas organized a well presentation which gives the glimpse of
activities associated with Air wing NCC. We got first prize in others section which
includes NCC Army , Navy, Air Force , NSS, Music club etc.

Krishnan.R, Cdt.Amal.K.Anil attended RDC 2019 Delhi. Cpl. Krishnakripa.K, Cdt.
Basil.P.A, Cdt. Vipin Baiju attended EBSB Aurangabad and Cpl. Amrutha Selvam
attended EBSB at Chertala. CSgt. Daniel Nelson attended trecking camp at Goa.
CUO.Aiswarya.A, CSgt.Vijay.M, Cdt Athul Krishna, Cdt. Basil.P.A, Cdt. Vipin
Baiju, Cdt.Shyamjith.K.Bayju and Cdt. Fathima C.N participated in IGC RDC and
also all our cadets attended Unit conducted camps like ATC at T.D.H.S Mattanchery.
These camps not only take the cadets to various places in the country but also expose
them to tough training, discipline and adventurous life in the camp and in the process
they meet cadets from all over the country.

3K AIR SQN NCC Kochi on 28th
January 2019, and was given a Guard of
Honour by cadets.
