Overview of the Industry
PLANT LOCATION The plant has been recently set up in
Kurukshetra, near Pipli in 2009. Area covered- 750 hectares
NEED OF SETTING THE PLANT IN THIS LOCATION
1. Increased demand due to rise in complimentary industries,
2. Cost efficient due to presence of all necessary resourses
3. Nearness to the market 4. Chances for development & expansion
PLANT LAYOUTThe layout used in this industry is PRODUCT
LAYOUT.A Product layout involves the arrangement of
machines in one line depending upon the sequence of operations.

PRODUCTION PROCESS
The production process includes four activities. These are as follows:
1. Cutting2. Stitching3. Reversing 4. Printing
1. CUTTINGThis is the first step of production. In this the rolls of PP are cut into different sizes according to the quantity and demand.
2. STITCHINGThis is the second step where the pieces that were cut of different sizes are stitched in the form of carry bags. These bags are also laminated in this process.
3. REVERSINGIn this step the laminated bags prepared are reversed for those customers who require the laminated portion inside. This is an optional step as per the demand.
4. PRINTING This is the final step where the bags finally prepared are sent for the printing process. Different stamps are used in printing the names of different firms as per the order.
