EditorialDear Reader,

The Government of Maharashtra has identified priority sectors for attracting investments on the basis of their potential and national focus. Textile, Pharmaceutical, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Food Processing, Electronics and Defense are few of the sectors that have been identified as key potential areas for targeted outreach. With this thought, the state recently organized a road show in Hyderabad to attract investments in these domains.

In this edition, we have included a District profile on Thane; the third most industrialized district of the state. Thane city is well known for its lakes and is popularly known as ‘The City of Lakes’. Also, an industrial profile for Kurkumbh, up gradation on the port capacities of Dighi Port, summary of the specialized infrastructure parks and the recent approvals given to mega project investments in the state have been featured.

We hope that these articles are informative and help you in giving a perspective for your business strategies.
